Kirk, 80, of Kerrville, who died Friday evening in a San Antonio hospital will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Burial will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo. Bom Nov.

8, 1912 in Honey Grove, Mr. Kirk had been a resident of Kerrville since 1984. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp during the depression, and helped construct the facilities in Bonham State Park and Palo Duro State Park in Texas. He was a member of the Kerrville Lions Club, a member of the Hill Country Camera Club, a former board member of the Paul Anderson Youth Homes of Georgia and helped organize the Sight and Tissue Foundation of Dallas. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Adult Chapter in Dallas and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kerrville.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Jo Kirk of Kerrville; a daughter, Becky Sue Soderstrom of Flower Mound; three sons, Titus St. Hah of Garland, Dwaine G. Moore of Midland and John Philip Moore of Fort Stockton; mother, Nellie J. Baldridge of Dallas; two sisters, Hazel Going of Irving and Faye Davis of Garland; five brothers, William Eldon Kirk of Sherman, Johnie E. Kirk of Richardson, D.

Loyd Kirk of Dallas, Robert E. Kirk of Dallas, and James W. Kirk of Dallas; nine grandchildren and number nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Texas Lions Camp for Crippled Children in Kerrville or the Paul Anderson Youth Home, Box 525, Vidalia, Ga. 30474.

at the Kerrville Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gene Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville. Bom in Natchitoches, Mrs. Landers had been a resident of the Hill Country area since 1978.

She was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the Texas Poetry Society, National League of American Women, World Congress of Poets and Kerrville Poetry Society. She married Franklin A. Landers on Aug. 28,1933 in Minden, La.

He survives. Other survivors include a sister, Addie B. Small, and a brother-in- law, C. Jack Small, both of Kerrville. Kerrville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Uvalde. Burial was to follow in Uvalde Cemetery. A memorial service for Mr. Vanham will be held in Kerrville at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Mary Vanham of Kerrville; a son, Mark Vanham of Uvalde; two grandsons, Riley and Colby Vanham; and two cousins, India Newton and Martha Willingham, both of Uvalde.

CPHS students preparing for 1-act play competition Football and volleyball season are over and now Center Point is in the middle of basketball season. Some students are getting ready for the upcoming golf, track, and tennis season while others are preparing for the U.I.L. Literary meet.

The C.P. speech department is also gearing up for their eighth season in the One Act Play competition under the direction of Roslyn Houghton. The 1993 One Act Play is 'Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon" by D.D. Brooke, and is adapted from the novel by Marjorie Kellogg. The play is.

Police apparently received a report of a reckless driver in the 100 block of West Davis and after arriving at the scene, found the teen. The male suspect attempted to flee police by driving to his house and running inside, police said. Shoplifting KERRVILLE A 14-year-old Fredericksburg female allegedly stole a $38 jacket and a $34 pair of pants from a department store in the 200 block of Sidney Baker Street South.

A 15-year-old male also allegedly stole a $18 cap from a store in River Hills shopping mall. Kerrville Ladles Golf Association invites lady golfers to golf on Tuesday at Scott Schreiner Golf Course.
