She was a gracious, forthright, vibrant, energetic woman with a strong will who was loved by many. She was an exemplary Mother and grandmother as well as a loyal friend. Her southern charm, sharp mind and quick wit will be enduring.

She enjoyed being active both physically and mentally; was an avid bridge player, enjoyed exercise class, golf, and swimming in the summer outdoors. Visits to the beach with her grandchildren at Bethany Beach, DE or Sea Island, GA and holidays with family and friends were some of her most treasured times. She lived a wonderful full life and passed on her own terms. Ann was born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1930 to Mr. and Mrs.

Donald Atwater Rogers. She attended schools in Petersburg and graduated from Westhampton College, University of Richmond, Virginia in 1951. She married Eugene Dwight Crittenden, Jr. in 1951 and moved to Wilmington, DE. She taught school at now known as Sanford School and The Tatnall School.

Ann was a former Chairman of Recent Graduates of American Association of University Women, a former volunteer guide at Winterthur Museum, was a mem- ber of the Junior League of Wilmington, the Colonial Dames, Christ Church Altar Guild, Committee of the Delaware Art Museum, past President of the Junior Board of Delaware Hospital and past President of Gilpin Hall Board of Managers. She was a long time member of Christ Church and her faith was of great importance to her. Her husband predeceased her in 2006. She is survived by her two daughters, Sarah Ann (William of Wilmington, DE and Susan Gray Chambers (Michael of Chadds Ford, PA: four grandchildren, Susan Steele of Oahu, HI, Nicholas Crittenden of Galena, MD, Sarah Cobb Chambers of Chadds Ford, PA and Hunter Fox Chambers of Richmond, VA. Interment will be private.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Mel was born on February 16, 1963 in Wilmington, DE. He collected anything related to lighthouses and loved nothing more than to sit by the water with his shing pole for hours on end, even if he get a single bite. He was loved by everyone and will truly be missed from our lives. Mel is survived by his parents, Sandra and Milton Hults, Jr; his sisters, Kim and Cindy; his sons: Milton, Todd, Dustin, Stephen, Zachary; step daughter, Ashley; and several nephews grandchildren. Born in Kennett Square, PA, she was the daughter of the late George G. and Mayme Nelson Gallagher. She worked as a mushroom packer for Phillips Mushroom Co. for 30 years prior to her retirement. Bert had a great love for family and life, spending many years at Hollaway Beach.

She will be missed by her family and many nieces and nephews. She leaves many memories to her family, Virginia Forenski (Robert) of Hockessin, DE, with whom she resided and Linda Thompson (Chalmer) of Newark, DE; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Helen Detter. He was the husband of the late Betty Mae George Hendrickson who passed in 2012 and with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Born in New Castle, DE, he was a son of the late Manly M. and the late Henrietta (Lucus) Hendrickson. He served our country in the US Coast Guard and Merchant Marines. Manly worked for NVF Company in Yorklyn DE for 45 years.

He attended St. Gabriel and St. Patrick Catholic Churches with his wife during their lifetime. They loved traveling to all points of the country especially the mountains. He loved hunting, shing, and animals.

Survivors include two daughters: Nettie Joan Hanna (Tex) of Townsend, DE and Linda Schroder (John) of Hustontown, PA; two sons: Nelson D. Hendrickson (Jean) of Nottingham, PA and Joseph Hendrickson, Jr. (Edna) of Kirkwood, PA; three brothers, Howard Hendrickson of Buck, PA, Robert Hendrickson of Landenberg, PA, and Sam Hendrickson of West Grove, PA; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
