The frStar-News, Sunday, March 27, 19M Grand opening of The Vineyards is set for today by Barratt HomesSan Diego Bonita Valley Estates sell out all 17 homes A new level of elegance is being introduced to the EastLake community with the introduction of The Vineyards, estate homes by Barratt HomesSan Diego, according to Brian Angelini, director of sales and marketing for Barratt San Diego. Grand opening ceremonies at The Vineyards will be March 27, from 1 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the sales center. Three fully-furnished models will be available at the sales office.

"We are extremely proud of The Vineyards," said Angelini. "EastLake has become a well-established and highly-regarded community, and we believe that The Vineyards introduces a new dimension to EastLake." There are three different floor plans to choose from at The Vineyards, ranging in size from 2,910 to 3,496 sq. ft. Each plan is available in four different exterior stylings Country French, English Tudor, Mediterranean and California. Prices in the 45-home community range from $295,000 to $352,000.

The Bordeaux Series is a three-bedroom plus room plan with two-and-a-half baths, spacious family room, dining room and sunny breakfast nook. The Bordeaux Series features a circular staircase, walk-behind wet bar, three fireplaces, window seat in the dining room and double walk-in closets in the master suite. The Chardonnay Series is a four-bedroom, three-bath home with a bonus, roomfifth bedroom, family room with walk-behind wet bar, sunny breakfast nook, step-down dining room and deck off the master bedroom. This home features three fireplaces, including a see-through fireplace between the master bedroom and master bathroom. The Sauvignon Series is a four-bedroom plus bonus room, three-bath plan featuring an island kitchen with wine storage closet, family room with walk-behind wet bar, deck, off the master bedroom, sitting room in the master bedroom suite, dining room and breakfast nook.

There are three fireplaces in this home, including a see-through fireplace between the master bath and sitting room. The homes all feature the distinctive interior styling touches that have become a Barratt trademark, including columns and arches, custom-crafted oak stair rails with turned newel post and balusters, accent and clerestory windows and more. The homes also include a full range of custom-quality and luxury-oriented including an oven with thermal convection cooking and self-cleaning feature, gas cook top with grill and griddle feature, microwave oven, glass doors and gas log "lighter in all fireplaces, large oval tub in master baths with jet stream feature, air conditioning, three-car garages and more. All 17 executive ranch-style homes have been sold at Bonita Valley Estates in Bonita, but the community's popular single-family designs will be made available at a new community nearby, according to representatives of Brennan Katkov. Industries, the San Diego-based Valued at $4,7 million, Bonita Valley Estates consists of large one and two-story homes, 2,800 and 3,390 sq. ft. in size, situated on usable one-acre lots. The four and five-bedroom, three-bath homes were designed by Larry Case of Lorimer Case of the American Institute of Architects, and were priced between $279,900 and $329,900.

The community's two five-bedroom designs will also be available at nearby Emerald Ranch, a $30 million community of 92 homes, also developed by BKl, that will feature sweeping views of the ocean and downtown San Diego from the hills above the Bonita community. Due to open in June, Emerald Ranch will offer four floor plans ranging from 2,500 to 3,400 sq. ft. in size, ancy fror $250,000 to $350,000 in price. With design features similar to Bonita Valley Estates, Emerald Ranch homes will offer bay window soaring cathedral ceilings, smooth plaster interior walls with rounded corners, plus air con ditioning and a generous number of windows throughout, including both sunburst and clerestory glass.

Each plan has a formal dining room and separate living room located near an impressive entry foyer. Large family centers will include a family room with a custom fireplace and adjacent breakfast room. Kitchens will offer abundant storage space in solid oak cabinets, ample ceramic tile countertops and custom lighting. Top of the line appliances will include gas cooktops, self-cieaning and microwave ovens, trash compactors and dishwashers with pot scrubbers. Some plans will offer a walk-in pantry, others will have an attractive corner window near the sink.

The "master chambers" will feature a bedroom with a fireplace and a bath with a walk-in closet, large Roman tub with tile surrounds, dual plus "a separate shower and lavatory.
