In accordance with the Section 1770 of the California Labor Code, the Board of Supervisors determined the prevailing basic rate of per diem wages, inclusive of fringe benefits, a copy which may be seen in the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors (Document No. 494734). The attention of Bidders is directed to the section of the Contract Documents which outlines Affirmative Action Requirements for equal employment opportunity. At the time of submittal of the Bid, each Bidder must furnish to the County his completed and signed "Bidder's Certification." Prior to the award of any subcontract of $10,000 or over, the prime contractor must likewise obtain and furnish to the County a "Subcontractor's Certification" from each such prospective subcontractor. No bid will be accepted unless it is on a form furnished by the County Engineer, and is accompanied by the security referred to therein.

Form of bid proposal and bonds may be obtained at the County Engineer Department. No award will be made to a Contractor who is not licensed under Chapter 9, Division 3, Business and Professional Code, or to whom a proposal form has not been issued. The successful bidder, simultaneously with execution of the contract documents, will be required to furnish a Payment Bond for Public Works in an amount equal to fifty percent and a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the contract price, each secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Board of Supervisors, and on the form contained in the Contract Documents. The Contract Documents, which includes Plans and Specifications, may be examined at the County Engineer Department, Building 2, Room 184, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, California, 92123. A copy of the Contract Documents may be obtained at said Office upon payment of $8.00 plus tax.

If payment is made by check, it should be made payable to the "County of San Diego." NO REFUND WILL BE MADE. A copy of the publication "Equipment Rental Rates" of January 1975 may be obtained at said Office upon request. The attention of bidders is particularly directed to the provisions of Sections and of the Standard Specifications regarding subcontracting and assignment of the contract, respectively. Mrs.Higby was a member of the Chula Vista Senior Citizens Club and' its bowling league. She is survivied by two sons, Thomas of Chula Vista and George; two daughters Dorothy Bishop of Chula Vista and Mary Lee Famms; two brothers, including E. J. Rule of Chula Vista: two sisters; 11 grandchild two great-grandchildren. Dorothy C.

Mrs. Brown. 15-year resident, live at 2132 Judith South San Diego. She was born in Illinois and died Tuesday in a local hospital. A daughter, Dorothy Macumber of the home; her mother, Lulu Crump of New York: two sisters, a brother and two grandchildren survive.
