Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville, with burial at Graceland Cemetery there. Mrs. Goodwin was born in West Des Moines and had lived in Knoxville 43 years.

She was a professor at Central College and a teacher before retiring. She had operated Pella Gymnastics School and managed swimming pools and summer recreation programs for several communities. She was a member and elder of Knoxville Christian 1-Disciples of Christ a and a member of Citizen Ambassador Program "People to People" in Russia and the American Alliance of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. She was a past president of Knoxville Teachers Association and had been a volleyball official with the lowa Girls High School Athletic Union and served on the Knoxville Recreation Commission. She had contributed to a physical education textbook revision and enjoyed tennis and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; two daughters, Robin Brown of Walford and Dawn Goodwin of Knoxville; two brothers, Gary Stoddard of Waterloo and Larry Stoddard of Des Moines; and three sisters, Evelyn Petre of Adel, Wilma Stoddard of Carlisle and Gladys Cordell of Des Moines. Wenger, 89, of the 6400 block of Southeast Third Street died of cancer Tuesday at Lenox Care Center in Lenox. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs.

Wenger was born in Lenox and had lived in Des Moines since 1944. She had worked for Bob Allen Airline Textiles Co. before retiring and enjoyed reading, flowers and gardening. She is survived by two stepsons, Dale of Oklahoma City and Fred of Wheatland; three stepdaughters, Isabelle Gruwell of Somerset, Ruth Kirkham of Oklahoma City and Nancy Burdine of Brownsburg, two sisters, Velda Wilson and Dorothy Routh, both of Lenox; 16 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Southtown Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. KATHY THOMPSON Pinellas Park, Fla. Kathy A.

Thompson, 47, of Pinellas Park, died of a heart ailment July 8 at home. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Assembly of God Church in Urbandale. Mrs. Thompson was born in Streator, and had lived in Des Moines for more than 10 years before moving to Florida a year ago.

She was an administrative assistant with Principal Mortgage in Clearwater, and a member of Irving Park Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Fla. She enjoyed singing and crafts. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; two daughters, Tressa Thompson and Amy Hines, both of Des Moines; her parents, Marjorie and Larens Richard of St. Petersburg; two brothers, David Richard of Minnesota and Richard of Centerville, and a sister, Rebecca Myerly of Detour, Md.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Myerly Missionary Fund. PATTI DAVIS Winterset Patti Kay Carver Davis, 49, of Winterset died of complications of breast cancer Tuesday at Madison County Health Care System there. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter, of which she was a member. Burial will be at 4 p.m.

Friday at Center Point Cemetery in Center Point. Mrs. Davis was born in Cedar Rapids and had lived in Center Point as a youth. She had lived in Wisconsin and the Des Moines area before moving to Winterset in 1992. She was a homemaker, a music editor and head of the Gospel division with Hal Leonard Music Publishing Co.

in Milwaukee and a pianist with Von Maur at Valley West Mall in West Des Moines. She was a member of Mensa and enjoyed collecting vintage sheet music. She is survived by her husband, Wayne; a son, Charlie of Winterset; two sisters, Peg Carver of Sammamish, and Polly Carver-Kimm of Urbandale; a brother, Richard Carver of Milwaukee; and her parents, Lila and Don Carver, and her grandparents, Leona and Arnold Carver, all of Center Point. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Altoona Cemetery. Mr.

Sheets had lived in Des Moines all his life. He was a transport driver with Hawkeye Auto Supply Co. and a member of United Auto Workers Union. He had served on the Grandview Little League Board and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed coaching baseball, basketball and football.

He is survived by two sons, Dustin and Matt, both of Des Moines; his father and stepmother, William and Norma Mae Sheets of Altoona; his twin sister, Jane MacDonald of Polk City; a brother, Jim of Des Moines; a stepbrother, Ron Hancock of Altoona; two stepsisters, Karen McDaniel of Des Moines and Judy Little of Altoona; and three grandchildren. EVERETT NEAL Knoxville Everett Keith Neal, 79, of Knoxville died of a heart attack Tuesday at home.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Mr. Neal had lived in Marion County all his life. He had been an X-ray technician with Collins Hospital in Knoxville and was an Army veteran of World War II.

He enjoyed fishing and photography. He is survived by a sister, Virginia Morris of Des Moines; and three brothers, Walter of Council Bluffs, Donald of West Des Moines and Robert of Des Moines. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville.

KEVIN BACHMAN Phoenix Kevin Flavis Bachman, 43, of Phoenix died Monday at home. The cause of death is unknown, pending the results of an autopsy. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be held at a later date. Mr. Bachman was born in Des Moines and had lived in Phoenix 17 years.

He had worked for Inland Mills in Des Moines and enjoyed the lowa Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks. He is survived by a son, Michael of Washington, D.C.; his mother, Nadine Bachman of Ankeny; his father and stepmother, Don and Deb Bachman of Glendale, three sisters, Carole BachmanVillalobos, Donna Bachman and Karlene Bachman, and a brother, Kalvin, all of Des Moines; and a stepbrother, Marty Rhodes of Phoenix. JOHN STANTON Watseka, Ill. John A. Stanton, 75, of Watseka, died of a heart attack Tuesday at Iroquois Memorial Hospital there.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Edmund's Catholic Church in Watseka, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery there. Mr. Stanton was born in Lakeland, and had lived in Des Moines for more than 20 years before moving to Watseka.

He was a retired marketing manager with Meredith Publishing Co. and Massey-Ferguson both in Des Moines. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two sons, Jeff of Des Moines and Roger of Geneva, a sister, Mary Jean Myers of Downers Grove, and four grandchildren. Friday at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry, with burial at Violet Hill Cemetery there. Mrs. Dunn was born in Bayard and had lived in Perry most of her life. She also had lived in Wyoming 10 years. She was retired and a member of First Presbyterian Church and Order of the Eastern Star.

She had been a foster grandparent and enjoyed baking, needlework, crossword puzzles and making jelly. She is survived by a son, Donald of Perry; nine grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, George. Mrs. Nelson was born in Boxholm and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was secretary to the president of the Iowa Synod of Lutheran Church of America before retiring and had served on her church council. She was a member of lowa Lutheran Hospital, Luther Park and Valley View Village auxiliaries. She is survived by a son, Charles of Alpharetta, a brother, Lester Freeman of Boxholm; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. FLOYD DUNAH0O Carlisle Floyd "Pete" Dunahoo, 72, of Carlisle died of cancer Monday at home.

Dunahoo was born in Maxwell and had lived there as a youth. He had lived in Des Moines from 1945 to 1960 before moving to Carlisle. He was a retired foreman with Mid-American Energy Co. and had served in the lowa National Guard. He enjoyed fishing and farming.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; two sons, Ted of Carlisle and Steve of Phoenix; and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Tressa Strahorn, 83, of Scottsdale, died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Aug. 2 at Chandler Care Center in Chandler, Ariz. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Linn's Funeral Home in lowa Falls. Burial of the cremains will be at Union Cemetery there.

Mrs. Strahorn was born in Ames and had lived in lowa Falls as a youth. She had lived in Algona before returning to lowa Falls in the early 1960s. She moved to Scottsdale in 1983. She had co-owned Hall-Strahorn Hardware in Algona and lowa Falls Roofing Co.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth. NEVA SINNER Danville Neva Sinner, 99, of Danville died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Danville Care Center. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Garner Cemetery near Bridgewater. Mrs.

Sinner was born in Adair County and had lived in the Bridgewater area most of her life before moving to Danville three years ago. She was a retired schoolteacher and a member of Trinity Christian Church in Bridgewater. She was an accomplished pianist and had been the pianist at her church for 40 years. She is survived by two daughters, Margery McCall of Mediapolis and Norma McAlister of Danville; 10 grandchildren; a step-grandchild; 25 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; 14 greatgreat-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem.

FORMER RESIDENT Here is information about the death of a former central lowa resident who moved from the area more than 20 years ago: Gary L. Stielow, 59, of Mountain View, died of cancer June 19 at home.

The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 5 at Luther Memorial Church in Des Moines. Mr. Stielow was born in Des Moines and had lived in Mountain View since 1965.

RUSSELL ISLEY Indianola Russell A. Isley, 83, of Indianola died of cancer Tuesday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle, with burial at Palmyra Cemetery in Palmyra. Mr.

Isley was born i in Motor and had lived in Hartford until moving to Indianola five years ago. He had worked in the plumbing and heating department of Sears Roebuck and Co. and was a member of Community United Presbyterian Church in Hartford. He enjoyed his church and sprint car racing. He is survived by his wife, Vadis; three sons, Carroll of Carlisle, Dwight of Sierra Vista, and Duane of Indianola; a daughter, Kathy Pohlman of Colfax; a brother, Harold of Des Moines; two sisters, Alberta Fridley of Indianola and Betty Nelson of Michigan; 12 grandchildren; three step -grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Estherville with burial in the East Side Cemetery. Mr. Moller died Sunday, August 4, 2002 at the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. Mr. Moller grew up in Estherville, graduating from Estherville High School in 1950.

He then attended Estherville Jr. College and the University of Nebraska. He was an outstanding athlete in high school and college. Mr. Moller served in the U.S.

Army during the Korean War and was in the construction business in Estherville for 37 years. He was presently serving on the Estherville City Council where he had been a member for almost 20 years. He had previously served on the Emmet County Conservation Board and the Board of Adjustment. Mal was an avid reader and outdoorsman. Family members surviving are his wife, Caryle of Estherville; son, Michael Moller and his wife, Kate of Urbandale, IA; two granddaughters, Mallory and Mary Kate; sister, Carole Kay Ringham of Winnetka, CA and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two infant children, his parents and brother-in-law, Michael. LISA GEARY Des Moines the 1000 block of East Seventh Street died of a heart attack Tuesday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Westover Funeral Home, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Ms.

Geary was born in Des Moines and had lived here most of her life. She also had lived in Omaha. She was a sales associate and a volunteer at Longfellow Elementary School. She had attended Grandview Baptist Church and enjoyed attending family activities and reading crime stories. She is survived by four sons, Hunter, Levi, Wesley and Zachary, all at home; her mother, Shari Brown, and a sister, Lori Parks, both of Eldon, and her grandmother, Helen Newsom of Urbandale.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the time of services Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Teske, 64, of the 5900 block of Southeast Sixth Avenue died of cancer Tuesday at Mercy Medical Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Federated Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Teske was born in Macksburg and had lived in Des Moines most of her life.

She was a homemaker and a member of DOES. She is survived by her husband, Frank; two daughters, Catheryn Dingman of Webster City and Carrie Hatfield of Des Moines; a son, Christopher Patton, and a sister, Mona Weir, both of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
