Funeral services will beheld at 1 p.m. Friday at the Eddyville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Thursday at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel opening at 12 noon. EVA (BILLIE) LIGHT Des Moines Eva passed from this life Tuesday October 24, 2006.

A visitation will be held Thursday October 26 at the Westover Funeral Home where the family will be present to receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens on 2nd Avenue at 3 p.m. Friday. Eva was born in West Plains, Missouri and moved to Des Moines at the early age of six. She graduated from North High School and American Business College.

Eva married C. Marvin Light on July 25, 1937. She was Secretary-Treasurer of Scott Transportation, a company her husband owned. Eva's family was her most utmost priority in her busy life. She traveled around the world missing only one country on her travels.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and Past President of the Grace Lutheran Guild. Eva was a member of Des Moines Chapter of O.E.S., ZaGaZig Ladies Hospital Des Moines Film Club, The Friendship Force of Greater Des Moines, The White Shrine and Symphony Guild. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers, making arrangements for her beautiful dinner parties she hosted with joy. Eva loved shopping in Paris as her closet will testify. Eva was a gentle, soft and loving mother to her daughter Marilyn, son Logan (Shirleen) Light and daughter Rosemary (Richard) Witzenburg.

three grandchildren, Jeff, Lesley and Marvin, six great-grandchildren Stevie, Alex, Erica, Andrew, Alexis, and Reese, one great-great-grandchild, Hayden. Four step-grandchildren and seven step-great. grandchildren all living in Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, her parents, her sister Hazel and her loving Aunt and Uncle, as well as dear friends and relatives. In lieu of Flowers the family suggest contribution be made to the Animal Rescue League of IA.

Ash, Dallas Center DOROTHY OVERHOLSER FANE Des Moines Dorothy Irene (Overholser) Fane, 89, formerly of 3323 Hickman Road, died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at NBA Ramsey Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 26 at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Dorothy was born in Reading, PA and moved to Des Moines in 1920.

She graduated from North High School in 1935 then worked for Rollins Hosiery Mill. She married W. Raymond Overholser in a 1938 and to their union were born two children, Richard and Marjorie. Raymond preceded her in death in 1966 at which time she went to work for Look Magazine. In 1970 she married Keith E.

Fane who preceded her in death in 1993. Dorothy was a member Forest Avenue Baptist Church and later Westover Baptist Church, North High School Alumni Association, the American Legion Auxiliary No. 374 and the Women's Life Insurance Society since 1931.) She enjoyed parades and "Music Under the Stars" at the Capitol grounds. She was known as the neighborhood caretaker of the elderly and the corner garage sale home where everyone stopped to visit. She will be remembered as a loving and nurturing mother and homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Richard "Dick" Overholser and his wife, Frankie of Des Moines; two grandsons; two step grandsons; two granddaughters; two step-granddaughters; one step-granddaughter-in-law; nine greatgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; nine step- great-great-grandchildren; niece, Sandy Heggen; nephew, Bob Loftin; and sister-in-law, Betty Row. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; loving companion and daughter, Marjorie Overholser in 2003; brother, George Row; and sister, Ethel Loftin. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Westover Baptist Church 2330 62nd St.

Des Moines. ILES Westover Chapel 6337 Hickman Road MARILYN "DEE DEE" STEINGRABE Mitchellville Mitchellville Marilyn Steingrabe was born August 12, 1936 to Ralph and Helen White in Swan, Iowa. She died suddenly at her home in 1 Mitchellville on October 24, 2006. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday on October 28, 2006 at Hamilton's Mitchellville Funeral Home with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m.

Friday on October 27, 2006 also at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Lowman Cemetery in Reynolds. "Dee Dee" is survived by her loving children: Dorene (Dave) Snyder, Joe (Cindy) Steingrabe and Ralph (Rachel Moore) Steingrabe; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son.

RALPH EUGENE KISSEL Des Moines Ralph Eugene Kissel passed away peacefully at home Tuesday afternoon, October 24, 2006. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m., Friday October 27, 2006 with visitation from 4 to 6 p.m.

prior to the service at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home. Ralph was born January 25, 1931 in Des Moines, the son of John and Beulah Kissel. As a young boy, Ralph spent his summers as a caddy at the Wakonda Club where he developed his passion for golf. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949 and later served in the Army. After completing his military service, Ralph attended Drake University where he played on the Drake golf team.

After graduating from Drake, Ralph began his career at Banker's Trust where he later retired after 30 years. During his retirement, Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and playing golf all over the country. Ralph had an enthusiasm for life that touched everyone who knew him. His grandchildren will always cherish his endless devotion and affection. His unconditional love was a gift that will always live on.

His generous spirit will forever be in the hearts of his family. Those left to honor Ralph's memory are his wife, Phyllis; his children, David (Chrys) Judd of Milo, Douglas Judd of Des Moines, Debra (Rich) Moon of Des Moines, Dirk (Lori) Kissel of West Des Moines; his grandchildren Marshall and Molly Moon, Kirsti, Kendra and Kara Kissel, Lacy Andre and Luke and Hannah Judd; his four greatgrandchildren and his sister Alice Tillson. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, John and Beulah Kissel and Kissel his brother, Johnny Kissel. Ralph's family wants to give special thanks to his nurses, Kathy and Connie from Hospice of Central Iowa. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.

ALICE ANN LOSS Algona Alice Ann Loss, 67, of Algona died on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, Iowa. A funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Algona. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Algona.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Garry-Roberts -Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Algona with a rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m. and a scripture prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. Alice Ann Loss was born on February 12, 1939, at Lone Rock, Iowa to Delbert and Frieda Dreyer Geitzenauer. She graduated from the Fenton High School in 1956.

Alice was married to Larry Parker on June 22, 1958, at Fenton, Iowa. He died in an accident on November 4, 1958. Alice was married to Dean Loss on April 6, 1961 at Algona, Iowa. The couple farmed near Algona. Dean preceded Alice in death on December 2, 1992.

Alice was a member of the St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. She was also very civic minded and active in many groups and organizations. Alice is survived by her children, Larry Loss, Urbandale, IA, Marcia Parrish, Algona, IA, David Loss, Algona, IA, Patricia Ostwald, Johnston, IA and Michael Loss, Omaha, NE. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, her mother and her six brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4114 Allison Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa.

Donna was born October 19, 1964 in Des Moines to Donald and Barbara Tiffin. She was a graduate of Galludet University and was employed as an administrative assistant with Family and Children Services with the Iowa Department of Health. She was a member of the Iowa Association of the Deaf, Deaf Awareness Board and Signs of Grace Deaf Church. She was an editor for the Sign Language Newsletter and had received the Deaf Awareness Award. In remembering her, family members said, "Donna was a fun-loving person with a generous spirit and infectious laugh.

Her strong-willed, stubborn nature served her well in her fight against cancer. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched." Her survivors include her mother, Barbara Tiffin; brother, Ken (Janet) Tiffin; sisters, Patti (Jim) Collins and Barb (Ron) Woolsey; aunt and uncle, Bill and Joanne Witter; nephew, Ryan Tiffin and his family, Roxanne, Taylor and Cody; nephew, Boyd Tiffin and his family, CJ and Kaylee; niece, Jill Collins and nephews, Danny and TJ Collins. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Tiffin. Merle Hay Funeral Home MARJORIE FILLMAN Colona, IL Marjorie J. Fillman, 80, of Colona, died Friday, October 20, 2006, at St. Frances Medical Center, Peoria. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the Christ Church of the Quad Cities, Colona.

Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Burial will be in Greeview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to her husband, Oliver Fillman. She was born Jan.

10, 1926, in Menlo, Iowa, to Roland and Elizabeth (Nungusser) Sanborn. She married Oliver F. Fillman, Nov. 7, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed to crochet and do genealogy research with her husband. She loved to be with her family and do biblical studies. Survivors include her husband, Oliver; daughter, Sherrill Fillman, Des Moines; sons, Rex, Davenport, Keith, Knoxville, Iowa, and Dale and his wife Corine, Geneseo; grandchildren, David Fillman, Kevin Fillman, Lori and her husband Curti Sturms, Lance Bayless, Emily Fillman, Matthew Mossett and Elizabeth Mossett; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Queck, Alberta, Canada. Hargens, 80, died Monday. Visitation will be held Thursday after 4 p.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, with interment at the Manning Cemetery.

BEA VANDER WAAL formerly of New Sharon Bea Vander Waal, 74, died October 23, 2006. Graveside services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. on Friday at Harden Funeral Home.

CARL D. CHRISTENSEN Indianola Services for Carl D. Christensen, 60, who died Monday, October 23, 2006 at his home, will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 27 at the First Assembly of God Church in Indianola. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, IA.

Carl had served honorably in the United States Marines during Vietnam. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Wachter and her husband, Philip of Lacona; grandchildren, Luke and Aaron; brother, Douglas Christensen of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillian Christensen; brother, Edward Christensen Jr. and sister, Barbara Bump. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 26 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

TODD HETHERSHAW Largo, Florida Todd Hethershaw, 43, died Saturday, October 21, 2006 in Bay Pines, Florida. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2006 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Des Moines, with burial to at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Todd graduated from Lake Hamilton High School in Pearcy, Arkansas. He served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge, then moving to Florida. The love of his life was his son, Andrew. He is survived by his son, Andrew Hethershaw, mother, Judy Hethershaw, father, Chuck Hethershaw, brothers, Rodney and Rick Hethershaw, grandma, Bea, uncle Rusty (Beth) Erickson and aunt, Joyce. DONNA (GOODHUE) MORTON Newton Donna (Goodhue) Morton 69 died at the Hospice of Jasper County's Monarch Wing in Newton Monday, October 23, 2006.

She is survived by three sons, Dan (Julie) Morton of Des Moines; Tim Morton of Newton; and Bruce (Shirley) Morton of Newton. Brother, Robert (Judy) Goodhue of Newton. Two sisters, Myra Goodhue and Shirley Goodhue of Newton. Mother-in-law, Irene Morton of Elkhart, Iowa; Seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
