Tenor time is tonight Who: John Osborn When: 7:30 tonight Where: Antes City Auditorium Most every Iowan knows about famous native son-opera man Simon Estes. But there's another Iowan to watch on the opera scene. Tenor John Osborn, a 24-year-old native of Sioux City, performs tonight In Ames. Osborn is the winner of the Placldo Domingo International Competition In France and was a National Winner of the 1994 Metropolitan Opera Auditions.

Osborn will do a solo recital with Bryan Stanley on piano, sponsored by the Ames Town and Town Chamber Music Association. Next season he performs with the New York City Opera, Washington Opera and Canadian opera companies. Tickets are $15; students get in free. This concert was postponed from April 6.
