The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home on Lyon Street. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date. Mr.

Marshall had lived in Des Moines all his life. He was a mechanic and lot attendant for Webbs Auto Salvage. He enjoyed working on antique cars, fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife, Cleota; two daughters, Roberta Barker of Des Moines and Brenda Conner of Cumming; four sons, Bobby and Danny, both of Independence, Roger of Norwalk and Rusty of Des Moines; two brothers, Norman Smith and Richard, both of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa Foundation. ALBERTA CARTER Knoxville Alberta Carter, 71 of Knoxville died of a heart ailment Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. The body was cremated, and no services are planned. Burial of the cremains will be private. Mrs.

Carter was born in Marion County and lived in Knoxville all her life. She was a homemaker and had worked for the Village Shop. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Gray of Knoxville; two sons, Lee of Knoxville and Monte of Austin, Texas; a brother, James Onstank of Knoxville; eight grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Evans-McCleery Funeral Home in Knoxville. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Radio Ministry. KEITH STANEK Fort Dodge Keith G. Stanek, 40, of rural Fort Dodge died of a heart ailment Sunday at Trinity Regional Hospital there.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Elkhorn Township Cemetery near there. Mr. Stanek was born in Fort Dodge and had lived there most of his life.

He had worked for Norwest Bank in Man-kato, Marion and Cedar Rapids and for Iowa Falls State Bank, had farmed and was a tax consultant for Central Iowa Farm Business Association of Webster City. He was an elder and deacon at his church, president of Webster County Pork Producers and a 4-H leader. He is survived by his wife, Rachele; a son, Ryan, and two daughters, Heather and Amy, all at home; his parents, Gilbert and Nancy of Fort Dodge; a brother, Marshall of San Diego; and a sister, Sara Hale of Topeka, Kan. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

JOHN ANDERSON Iowa Falls John Allan Anderson, 48, of Iowa Falls died of cancer Saturday at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls, with burial at Union Cemetery there. Mr. Anderson was born in Iowa Falls and had lived in the Albia area for 10 years before returning to Iowa Falls.

He operated Anderson Show Pigs, raised and showed pigs nationwide and taught vocational agriculture in Iowa Falls, Allison, Albia, Whitehall, and at Ellsworth Community College. He was active in FFA at the high school and state levels and served as Iowa State Fair swine superintendent. He was involved with Iowa Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association, Yorkshire Association and Iowa State Education Association. He is survived by his wife, Carla; two daughters, Amber and Haley; a stepson, Jeremy; a stepdaughter, Melissa; his father, Ralph; two sisters, Laura Conaway and Barbara Marvick; and a brother, Paul. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m.

Thursday at Linn's Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. Walter Jennings "Buster" Benson, 85, of Story City died of cancer Sunday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Petri Lutheran Church In Story City, of which he was a member.

Burial will be at Mount Olive Cemetery in Randall. Mr. Benson was born in Washta and had lived in Randall, Spencer and Mc-Callsburg before moving to Story City. He was a general manager at Farmers Co-operative Grain Co. in Randall, Spencer and McCallsburg before retiring.

He had served on the Randall School Board, was director of Boone Valley Regional Co-operative Board, was fire chief at Randall and was active in his church. He enjoyed sports, carpentry work and home improvements. He is survived by his wife, Grace; a daughter, Mary Bentsen of Story City; a son, Paul of Urbandale; a brother, Edwin of Little Rock, eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

ANNELIESE PURCELL Des Moines Anneliese Purcell, 60, of the 2500 block of East Sheridan Avenue died of ft til ry wlk cancer Sunday at Hos-(V. iJK Dice Kavanaoh House on 56th Street. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Assured Care Funeral Chapel in Ankeny. Mrs.

Purcell was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, and had lived in Des Moines since 1968. She was a housekeeper at Archer Motel and Briarcliff Retirement Center. She enjoyed country music, flowers and German cooking. She is survived by her husband, Amos Sr. of Des Moines; two daughters, Gabrial Purcell of Mainz, Germany, and Connie Oberender of Sheldahl; five sons, Mathias of Des Moines, Andrew of Prole, David of Fayetteville, Dennis of Davenport and Amos Jr.

of Altoona; a sister, Maria Steinheimer of Seminole, three brothers, Willi, Walter and Gehard Todt, all of Wiesbaden, Germany; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. VIRGINIA McCAMMANT Marshalltown Virginia "Batz" McCammant, 83, of Marshalltown died of a heart ailment Sunday at Southridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center there. Services will be at 10:30 a.m: Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell, with burial at Ivy Hill Cemetery near Malcom.

Mrs. McCammant was born in Washburn, N.D., and had lived in Malcom and Grinnell before moving to Marshalltown. She had farmed with her husband and had worked at various businesses in Grinnell. She was a member of Malcom Methodist Church and Grandmother's Club of Grinnell. She enjoyed crafts, dancing to big band music and roller skating.

She is survived by three sons, Larry and Ronnie, both of Marshalltown and Dale of Malcom; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph. Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. ANNA KOOPMAN Knoxville Anna Lucille Koopman, 90, of Knoxville died of a heart attack Saturday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville, with burial at Dallas Cemetery. Mrs. Koopman was born in Everist and had lived in the Germantown and Melcher-Dallas areas before moving to Knoxville. She was a telephone operator in Melcher, a cook at Swift Hotel dining room and had worked at Royal Pastry Shop and North Elementary School in Knoxville. She enjoyed growing flowers and bird watching.

Several nieces and nephews survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholus. Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Christian Church.

JUST Ffi 24 Eldon Leslie Wenger, 82, of Beaver died of a heart ailment Sunday at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Og- den, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Beaver Cemetery in Beaver. Mr.

Wenger was born near Beaver and had lived in the Jefferson area, Des Moines and Port Orchard, before returning the Beaver area. He had worked for Des Moines Steel Buildings in Des Moines, worked in shipyards in Port Orchard and owned and operated Wenger Truck Line Inc. and Wenger Farms before retiring. He served in the Army and was a member of Beaver school board and Beaver town council. He enjoyed his cows and calves.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; two daughters, Colleen Radebaugh of Grand Junction and Jacqueline Sturtz of Humboldt; two sons, Eldo of Stockton, and Roger of Kansas City, 12 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. She had farmed with her husband and worked at several nursing homes in the Perry area before retiring. She was a member of UnDenominational Christian Church and enjoyed quilting, gardening and flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Bert; a daughter, Reve King of Perry; a brother, Donald Barnes of Liberty, four grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. He was a retired carpenter and enjoyed camping, fishing, wild birds and flowers. He is survived by a son, Kenneth Jr.

of Stuart; two daughters, Connie Subbert of Stuart and Cathy Rowland of Lorimor; four brothers, Harold of McClouth, Jim of Stuart, Jerry of Ozawkie, and Tom of Oskaloosa, a sister, Darlene Martin of Marysville, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Merle Hay Funeral Home, with burial at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Cunningham was born in Filley, and had lived in Des Moines since 1927. He was a retired welder at Brady Manufacturing and a member of Fort Des Moines Church of the Open Bible.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; three daughters, Karma Nelson of Fort Dodge, LaVaughn Hudson of Bois D' Ark, and Mary Heller of Des Moines; a son, Edward Leih of New Virginia; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mollie. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Bowers, 87, of Marshalltown died of a heart ailment Saturday at Eldora Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Eldora. Mrs. Bowers was born in Gifford and had lived in Marshalltown since 1945. She was a retired general laborer at Cooper Manufacturing. Several cousins survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waud.

He was a dental technician for Dental Arts and enjoyed golfing and league bowling. He is survived by a son, Chris; five brothers, Vern, William and Bob, all of Des Moines, Jim of Norwalk and Kenneth Spect of Primgar; two sisters, Patty Camp of Newton and Barbara of Wisconsin; and a grandchild. ETHEL BROWN Grant City, Mo. Ethel Louise Brown, 91, of Grant City, died of a heart ailment Sunday at a convalescent home there. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, with burial at Fletchall Cemetery there. Mrs.

Brown was born in Hatfield, Mo and had lived in Mount Ayr and Urban-dale before moving to Grant City five years ago. She had been a registered nurse and created and operated Karen Acres in Urbandale. She was a member of South Side Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Madalene Husbands of Molalla, and Maxine Toll of Woodburn, a brother, Dee Lynch of Grant City, five sisters, Edna Peterson of Redfield, Eva Cannon and Dixie Woodyard, both of Des Moines, Ruby Worthington of Mount Ayr and Maxine Herndon of St. Joseph, 17 grandchildren; 26 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman. KARA "CINDY" GIPSON Grinnell Kara "Cindy" Gipson, 41, of Grinnell died of cancer Friday at Mayflower Home Health Care Center there. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell, with burial at Hazel-wood Cemetery there. She was born in Columbia, and had lived in Grinnell and Iowa City before returning to Grinnell.

She worked at the University of Iowa Library in Iowa City. She is survived by her mother, Jean Gipson of Grinnell; two sisters, Sara Spencer of Fulton, and Julie Jones of Grinnell; and a brother, Patrick Gipson of Portland, Ore.
