Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery. Mr.

Fraizer was born in Des Moines and had lived in the area all his life. He was the chief financial officer of AmerUs Group, a finance committee member at his church, a member of the Dowling Foundation and a board member of Anawim Housing and Orchard Place-Des Moines Children's Home. He was active in the United Way and enjoyed his family's activities and golfing. He is survived by his wife, Carol; a son, Michael of Madison, a daughter, Michelle Reagan of Jacksonville, two brothers, Robert of Clive and Patrick of West Des Moines; a sister, Barbara Fraizer of Arkansas; and a grandchild. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m.

BETH LEVY Windsor Heights Beth Ann Levy, 60, of the 1400 block of 70th Street, Windsor Heights, died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, of complications of colon surgery, Services will be at 2 p.m.

Monday at Dunn's Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services. Mrs. Levy was born in Ames and had lived in the Des Moines area 38 years. She was a retired secretary with lowa Methodist Medical Center and enjoyed handcrafts and silk-ribbon embroidery.

She is survived by her husband, John; two daughters, Melissa Ziesman of Baxter and Melinda Mauldin of Windsor Heights; and seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa, Mayo Foundation or the American Lung Association. JAMES BURTON Williams sIGn James "Stan" Burton, 73, of Williams died of complications of cancer Friday at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg, with burial at Williams Cemetery in Williams. Mr. Burton was born in Jacksonville, and had lived in Williams most of his life. He had been a farmer and had attended Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg.

He had helped establish the lowa Tractor Pull Association. He is survived by a son, Michel of Williams; two daughters, Dawn Burton of Omaha and Eilah Joss of Des Moines; three brothers, Jerry of Miami Springs, Floyd of lowa Falls and Harold of Port St. John, six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Kirkaldy, 86, of Marshalltown died of a heart ailment Thursday at lowa Veterans Home there. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at lowa Veterans Home Chapel in Marshalltown.

Cremation will follow services. Burial of the cremains will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama. Mr. Kirkaldy was born in Upper Montclair, N.J., and had lived there until moving to Tama in 1959.

He had been a bookkeeper, had worked for Solar Gas in Albion had operated a dry-cleaning business and Loftus Grocery Store in Tama before retiring. He was an Army veteran of World War and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tama, Tama American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by a daughter, Jeannie Wolf of South River, N.J.; two stepdaughters, Patricia Blondell of Davenport and Peggy Queck of Moline, eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria.

Friends may call an hour before the time of services at the chapel. Hand Funeral Home in Tama-Toledo is handling arrangements. RALPH BOWMAN Colfax Ralph C. Bowman, 58, of Colfax died of a heart ailment Thursday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m.

Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Des Moines, of which he was a member. Burial, with military rites, will be at Lincoln Cemetery in Granger. Mr. Bowman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and had lived in Hastings, before moving to Colfax in 1985. He was an Army veteran and a member and a past master of Masonic Lodge in Hastings.

He had helped with sign language at his church. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Kristi Meyers of Kansas City, and Theresa Palmer of Coon Rapids, seven sons, Mark Bowman of Olathe, Patrick Sullivan of Flowermound, Texas, Joseph Sullivan of Oakley, Ralph Bowman and Michael Bowman, both of Overland Park, and Mark Sullivan and Shawn Sullivan, both of Omaha; his father, Ralph Bowman of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Pawnee Benner of Middietown, Ohio, and Darlene McDaniel of Dayton; a brother, Bo of Florida; and 18 grandchildren. Friends may call after noon today at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. and where a Masonic service will be held at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ralph C.

Bowman Memorial Fund. ROY WYMAN Des Moines Roy L. Wyman, 78, of the 2500 block of Capitol Avenue died of cancer Friday at home. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Wyman was born in Des Moines and had lived here most of his life. He was a retired maintenance worker with Can-Tex Mfg. and had operated the roller coaster at Riverview Amusement Park for many years. He was an Army veteran of World War and enjoyed driving his car.

Mr. Wyman is survived by two sons, Thomas of Des Moines and Craig of Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Lili Meyer and Rita Wyman, both of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

FRANCES MARTIN Winterset Frances Martin, 90, of Winterset died of multiple organ failure Thursday at Winterset Care Center South. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Collins Oak Park Chapel and Funeral Services in Winterset, with burial at St.

Charles Cemetery in St. Charles. Mrs. Martin was born in Richland, and had lived in Missouri, Kansas and Green County before moving to Madison County in 1923. She was a retired nurse's aide with Earlham Home Care Program and a member of First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

She enjoyed sewing and gardening. She is survived by three sons, Philip of New Hope, N.C., Richard of St. Charles and David of Martensdale; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m.

RUSSELL WALLACE Lacona Russell Wallace, 89, of Lacona died of complications of a hip fracture and a kidney ailment Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rosemount Catholic Church in Rosemount, of which he was a member.

Burial will be at the church cemetery. Mr. Wallace was born in Milo and had lived in Lacona all his life. He was a retired screen roller and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Tancrede of Knoxville; three sons, Meredith of Rose Hill, David of Lacona and Duane of Kenosha, a sister, Rita Bauer of Des Moines; 14 grandchildren; 26 greatgrandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild.

Ganoe, 96, of Jefferson died of complications of a stroke Wednesday at Greene County Medical Center there. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Slininger-Rossow Chapel in Jefferson. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at Earlham Cemetery in Earlham.

Mrs. Ganoe was born in Palo Alto County and had lived in the Emmetsburg area and in Ayrshire before moving to Jefferson in 1988. She was a homemaker. She is survived by five sons, Carl of Pittsburgh, Harvey of Jefferson, Earl of Orange Grove, Texas, Donald of Odem, Texas, and Loren of Des Moines; a brother, Harvey Wolff of Emmetsburg; 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley.

IRENE BISSELL Greenfield Irene K. Bissell, 73, of Greenfield died of a heart ailment Thursday at Greenfield Manor. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Massena, of which she was a member.

Burial will be at Massena Center Cemetery near there. Mrs. Bissell was born in Adair County and had lived in the Cumberland and Massena areas before moving to Greenfield in 1995. She had worked in the laundry department at Good Samaritan Center in Fontanelle and had been a cook at Bob's Downtowner in Atlantic. She enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by three daughters, Shelia Fletcher of Kimberling City, Patricia Reyes of Missouri Valley and Kathleen Carns of Greenfield; a brother, Virgil Carlson of Council Bluffs; a sister, Mary Ann Warnaca of Massena; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. BETTY RUPPERT Des Moines Betty C. Ruppert, 78, of Des Moines died Thursday at lowa Methodist Medical Center of complications of surgery. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be held at a later date at Bellaire Presbyterian Church in Bellaire, Texas, and Westminster Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. Private scattering of the cremains will be at a later date in Michigan.

Mrs. Ruppert was born in Grand Rapids, and had lived in Houston before moving to Des Moines in 1984. She was a retired history teacher with the Houston school system and a member of Bellaire Presbyterian Church in Bellaire and Westminster Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. She enjoyed cats, opera and books. She is survived by her husband, Cleidon; a son, Carl of Los Angeles; three daughters, Barbara Ruppert of Houston, Nancy Ruppert of Los Angeles and Karen Siebrasse of Stuart; and a grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, Jeff of Pleasant Hope, and Don of Phoenix; a brother, Laurence of St. Charles; a sister, Beulah Thompson of Council Bluffs; and six grandchildren. Luddington, 89, of Bloomfield died of a respiratory ailment Wednesday at Bloomfield Care Center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mrs. Luddington was born in Bouton and had lived in the Des Moines area most of her life before moving to Bloomfield four years ago. She was a retired bookkeeper with Vitalis Truck Line and a member of Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church in Des Moines. She is survived by a daughter, Pauline Spurgeon of Ottumwa; a son, Gary Shoeman of Urbandale; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. Addition started on medical center in Cedar Rapids THE REGISTER'S IOWA NEWS SERVICE Cedar Rapids, la. Construction has begun on a $30 million addition to Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.

The five-story, building will be named after retired Ford Motor Co. executive and Mercy Foundation donor J. Edward Lundy. The building will house the hos- pital's heart, lung, vascular and surgical services units. Paid Memorial Obituary Ed Christensen Edward H.

Christensen, 72, of Nampa, Idaho, died Aug. 3, 2001, at Nampa Care Center. He was cremated in Idaho and memorial graveside services will be 11 a.m. Sept. 4 at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.

Ed was born and reared in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a middle child with two brothers and a sister. His father owned a dry cleaning business. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines and served in the Army during WW Il; he was stationed in Germany. At the age of 19 he married Ann Baker and they had a daughter, Peggy.

They owned their own dry cleaning business for 30 years in Des Moines; he did cleaning, laundry and dye work. Ed belonged to the Kiwanis and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He lived in Nampa for 25 years. Ed and Ann traveled all over U.S., Mexico, Germany and the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. He loved to do ceramics, fish and hunt rocks, garden and canning the produce.

Ed is described as wonderful, brilliant, quiet, polite and a gentleman. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ann; two brothers, Douglas of Des Moines and Carl of Mason City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian May and E.H. Christensen, sister, Barbra Bump; and his daughter, Peggy Lee, his only child. Donations may be made to the Cancer Society or American Heart Association or a charity of choice in his memory.

JOHN CARBERRY JR. Des Moines John W. Carberry 75, of the 5900 block of College Avenue died of a respiratory ailment Friday at lowa Methodist Medical Center. The body was cremated, and graveside services will be held at a later date. Mr.

Carberry was born in Cylinder and had lived in Des Moines 55 years. He had worked for Dahl's Food Stores and Central Tractor Farm and Country Inc. before retiring and was a member of First United Methodist Church and Waveland Park Masonic Lodge. He is survived by a son, John of Des Moines: a daughter, Sherri Millis of Ormond Beach, a brother, Gary, and a sister, Janice Newland, both of Minneapolis; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma.

Norfleet, 68, of the 1700 block of Cleveland Avenue died of pancreatic cancer Monday at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Services will be at 1 p.m.

Wednesday at Caldwell-Raddatz Hickman Chapel, with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Mr. Norfleet had lived in Des Moines all of his life. He had worked for lowa Packing Co. and Des Moines Foundry before retiring and was a member of Maple Street Baptist Church.

He enjoyed playing games. He is survived by a son, Norman Jr. of Des Moines; two daughters, Norma Kay Norfleet and Evalyn West, both of Illinois; a stepdaughter, Tyricea Williams of Des Moines; and four grandchildren. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

ROBERT TULL Swan Robert Tull, 70, of Swan died of a heart ailment Saturday at Mercy Medical Center. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Assured Care Funeral Services Chapel in Ankeny. Mr. Tull was a retired factory worker and a veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by two sons, Rick of St. Louis and Rob of Des Moines; a daughter, Rayci Symmonds of Des Moines; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce. Tuesday at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, with burial at Oakdale Cemetery there. Mr. Mague was born in Kane, and had lived in Adel since 1953. He was plumber and had worked independently and for Rhiner Plumbing before retiring. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed making furniture for his children.

He is survived by his wife, Louise; a son, Steve, and two daughters, Lisa Mickael and Susan Dunsmoor, all of Adel; a brother, George Mague of Cinnaminson, N.J.; a sister, Jane Cabral of Page, and eight grandchildren.
