Rites Held For Juan Gonzales Graveside rites for Juan Gonzales, 72, were held in Hillcrest Cemetery, conducted the Rev. Leo J. St. John, at 11 a. m.

Sunday, Dec. 25. A -widower, he died at his home in San Sa'ta at 8:55 a. m. Saturday, Dec.

24. 'He was. bom Feb. 8, 1888, at Flor.esville, the son of. MT.

and Mrs. Louis Gonzales. He had resided in San Saba county for 26 years and was a laborer. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Howell-Doran Funeral directors were in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Gonzales of Riohland Springs and Juan Gonzales Jr. of San Saba; two daughters, Mrs. Julian Suares of San Angelo and Mrs. Jesse Gloria of Brady; one sister, Mrs. Lucia Gonzales of Victoria and 11 grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Kuykendall of Cherokee, accompanied by Mr.

and Mrs. Steward Hawkins Jr. and family of San Angelo left Thursday, December 22, to spend (Christmas with their son, Mr. and Mrs. M.

sponsored The Joy Gift Program at the New Hope Presbyterian Church Sunday evening. They presented a pageant of the Nativity scene in which the primary and junior classes participated with some members from the young adult class. Several Christmas Carols were sung by the congregation led by a choir consisting of Miss Nell Sloan, Mmes. Jack Sloan, Frank Sloan, and Raymond Ellis with Miss Judy Hector at the organ. The Primary and Junior classes also sang some Carols.

This was followed by reading from Luke. Then' an offering was taken of $507.00 and the Benediction was pronounced by Rev. Wilkins. Then all repaired to the Fellowship Hall and met Santa Claus who assisted by several young ladies passed out gifts to many and candy and fruit to all. Mr.

Carter, who suffered a heart attack Tuesday of last week at his home in Richland Springs, is able to be home from the hospital. Garland Ward Knutson, who was seriously injured in a car accident near Goldthwaite on Dec. 11, has been transfered from Childress Hospital to MdCloskey Hospital in Temple. Mrs. Pearl Ware had surgery in Brady hospital last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sellman of Hurley, New Mexico, visited with Mrs. Bellman's father, J. J.

St Clair last week. M. B. St. Claii of Fredoricksburg was a visitoi of his father also.

Mrs. Claudie McCoy of San Saba visited Mrs. Mary McGregor this week. Jack Spin-lock will spend the holidays with his daughter, Mrs in Brady Hospital one day last week. Howard Hickman visited his wife and son, Tommie in Goldthwaite on the weekend.

Harry Eikmere and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Eikmere of Pyestone, Minnesota. These people are Angus breeders from whom the Heatherlys have purchased some of their registered bulls. While here these people and Mr, and Mrs.

Heatherly attended Essar 'Angus sale at San Antonio and also went to Menard to look over the Angus herd of Herman Allen. They were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Mr. and Mrs.

J. C. Gamblin were in Brownwood shopping one day last week. This community received from five to seven inches of rain the past week. It was beneficial to pastures and small grain, but mighty tiresome on people, Mrs, Dee House spent Tuesday with the George Walkers at Algerita.

Jesse Smith and Hugh Bates went deer hunting at Alpine and 1 hear that they both brought back a deer. Visiting the Jimmie Smiths is Dwight McEachren from Canada and Glosgow, Montana. Mrs. Harmon Sansom's father Boss Shoemake, had a stroke and is in the hospital. We hope he is much improved by the time you read this.

Mr. and Mrs. Junior Donahoo and Randy of Brownwood visitec the Walter Lewis' Sunday. Welborn Hayhurst of Abilene was a visitor in the Clayton Larremore home Sunday. There will be a Christmas program at the Hall Baptist Church Friday at 7 p.

Rites Held For Hutchison Brown (SO) Services for William Hutchison (Hut) Brown, 83, of 103 East Highland Comanche, were held at 9:30 a. m.

Sunday, Dec. 18, in Comanche Ftin- eral Chapel, with graveside and burial at 12 ndoh 'Sunday in. Richland Springs Cemetery. Brown died at 8:10 a. m.

Friday at his'Home in Comanche. He was 'born May 1, 1877, in Comanche county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Brown, had lived in Comanche the past 14 years and prior to that time he farmed in the Richlaad Springs area.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Belle Norwood Brown of Comanche; sons, Vernon and George Brown of California, Homer Brown of San Antonio; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Kincheloe of Star; two brothers, Andy Brown of Goldthwaite and Arthur Brown of Eastland; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Sullivan of Comanche; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives' in Richland Springs.

Gray of Amarillo are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Gray and Mrs. Margie Thompson. The Baptist Church had a Christmas program and tree Sunday night.

The Methodist Church will have their tree Wednesday night and a church social on Thursday night. Mr. and Mrs. Graves Burke took Mrs. Delia Boney to Burnet Saturday where she will visit her sister, Mrs.

REGENCY NEWS December 19 It is really cold and frosty this Monday morning Mrs. Ed Jones and her son Duvon spent Sunday night at their home. Mrs. Jones had to do some washing, ironing and house cleaning, then she will go back to the hospital at Goldthwaite where Mr. Jones is a patient.

Geo. Garner of Goldthwaite spent Saturday night and Sunday with us. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Edington were in Brownwood Christ mas shopping Wednesday.

Mrs. Whitley of Spring Creek had supper with us Friday night. Mr. and Mrs, Seborn Darwir of Brownwood visited us a shor while Sunday afternoon. Alton Jones and his mother Mrs.

J. M. Jones, went to Gold thwaite Monday (today). I want to wish all the news staf a Merry Christmas and A Happj New Year, and also a Merrj Christmas to Mrs J. A.
