La Munyon's sermon text was Lord, Revive thy Work" Hab. 3:2. His timely message included several ways to make a revival effective. Be regular and prompt in attendance. Desire to be revived.

After the pastor made a few remarks concerning the sacrifice of Jesus, the Communion Service was held. Sunday evening the revival began. Sis. Ramona Kerr illustrated a song, "Alone in the Garden" with a beautiful Felto-Graph picture shown under colored lighting. This was very touching along with the singing Brookshire Methodist Rev. Larry Stokes One of the biggest steps toward building the new Methodist Church in Brookshire was taken Wednesday night at the Special Quarterly Conference which named the Building Committee to take charge of the construction of the new building. Dr.

Stewart Clendenin, Houston West District Superintendent, conducted the special session of the governing conference of the local Church. Other interesting activities of the Brookshire Methodist Church for the coming week include the Bible Study of the Enjoyable moments so often So interwoven into our daily living is electricity that it is a part of almost every enjoyed moment. The Methodist Church extends a cordial invitation to everyone to attend all its services. METHODIST STEWARDS HAVE MEETING The Board of. Stewards of the Methodist Church in Brookshire held their November meeting last Monday night at the Milton H. Schmidt home.

The principal business dealt with the special Quarterly Conference to elect a Building Committee for the Church. Members of the Board of Trustees were also present, and the entire group was asked to suggest members for the Building Committee to be nominated at the Conference. Following the business sion, coffee and cake were served to the Stewards and Trustees present Katy Baptist REV. JOE RAMSEY GUEST SPEAKER AT FIRST BAPTIST Rev. Joe Ramsey, a former member of First Baptist Church, Katy, and brother of Mrs.

Jesse Freeman, will speak Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Ramsey was licensed by the local church some months ago and preached his first sermon in his home church. Our revival closed Sunday night. Those coming into the fellowship were Barbara Whitstine for baptism and Mr.

and Mrs. Phil W. Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis White and Miss Nancy Den by letter.

Dr. James T. Draper of Park Memorial Baptist Church did the preaching and Mr. Leonard Gilbert of Orchard did the leading of the song services. The building program is progressing satisfactorily and we anticipate entering the new edifice along about the first of December.
