Robinson Porter Hall, at 11:15, Ch. 6. Northern Heights Scores 31 Points To Win First Game NORTHERN HEIGHTS -Williamsburg lost a home game the Northern Heights Wildcats 31 to 7 Friday night. Martin Gilbert scored three touchdowns for the Wildcats on short carries of eight, six and three yards. Fullback Kenneth plunged over from the one-yard line for another score and quarterback David Simmons, playing end, gathered in a 26-yard Gilbert pass for the other score.

The Northern Heights team struck early in the game, scoring two touchdowns the first quarter. Williamsburg got its lone touchdown in the first quarter and was held scoreless dur- the rest of the game. Don Benedict's Wildcats rolled for a total of 225 yards, including 151 on the ground and 74 on passes. Williamsburg had a total of 133 yards. The Wildcats had nine first downs; Williamsburg had 7.

The win was the first of the season for Northern Heights after two losses. Next week the Wildcats will play Harveyville in a homecoming game Friday afternoon. World Track Records Approved at Tokyo TOKYO (AP) Twenty-seven world records in track and field were approved Saturday by the International Amateur Athletic Federation and one tie for a record was accepted. Heading the list were the sprint marks of Bob Hayes of Jacksonville, of 9.1 for 100 yards, and the time of 20.2 by Henry Carr of Detroit for the 220 around one curve. In accordance with the decision to accept pole vault marks regardless of the surface, five vault records were approved.

They included Brain Sternberg's marks of 16 feet, 5-inches and 16-8 made in 1963, John Fennel's mark of and Fred Hansen's two efforts of 17-2 and 17-4. The last one goes into the books. Sternberg is from Seattle, Fennel from Miami, and Hansen from Cuero, Tex. Ralph Boston's in the broad jump was made too late for formal approval but his was accepted.
