MRS. LAWRENCE D. STIVER CURWENSVILLE-Mrs. Alice Catharine Stiver, 42, wife of Lawrence D. Stiver of State Curwensville, died in the Clearfield Hospital at 4:20 a.

m. today. A daughter of Everett C. and Catharine (Coons) Johnson of Curwensville R. she was born at Clearfield April 9, 1923.

She attended the Curwensville Methodist Church and was a member of the Curwensville Fire Co. Auxiliary. She had been employed at the Curwensville Joint High School cafeteria since 1954. In addition to her parents and husband. Mrs.

Stiver is survived by one daughter, Sharon Lee at home; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Grace) Gulp Huntingdon; one brother, Everett Wade Johnson, Chicago, and grandfather, Joseph B. Coons, Grampian. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cindy Lou, in 1957. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.

PENVOSE HUMTINGTON, W.Va.—Dan- iel J. Penvose, 77, of Huntington, W. died Sunday in a hospital here. A son of the late Benjamin and Charolette (Jenkins) Penvose, he was born July 30, 1887, at Glen Richey, Pa. He had'lived at Huntington for 36 years and was a retired em- ploye of the International Nickel Co.

He was a member of Grace Gospel Church. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Maude Irene Arday Pen vose- three sons, Clifford and 'Ralph both of Hunt ington. and William Free port. seven grandchildren and'six great-grandchildren; a sister Mrs.

Lottie Duncan, Clearfield, and a brother, Dave Penvose, Curwensville, Pa Funeral services were conducted yesterday at 11 a. m. in the Beard Mortuary by the Rev Melvin V. Efaw. Bunal was'in Ridgelawn Cemetery.

ANDREW BERWINSDALE Andrew Hunter, 93, of Johnstown, for merly of Altoona, died at a. m. today at Johnstown. Born at Berwinsdale April 13, 1872 he was a son of Jonn and'jennie (Van Dyke) Hunter He was a retired employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad and a member of the AnsonviUe IOOF Lodge. Mr Hunter is survived by.

his wife, the former Edith Dreph; one daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Curley, Johnstown; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the John Henderson Funeral Home, Central Avenue, Johnstown, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. tomorrow.

Funeral services will be held in the Fruit Hill Presbyterian Church Friday at 10 a. m. The Rev. Paul Hudson will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

H. Lee Hebel officiating. Interment will be in the Keewaydin Cemetery. Friends may call at the family home at Karthaus this evening and until time of service Friday. MRS.

ADA S. BIRD Mrs. Ada (Scott) Bird, 87, of North Fifth Clearfield, died yesterday afternoon in her home following an extended illness. Born at Reynoldsville July 19, 1877, she was a daughter of the late Lyman Warren and Melissa (Ferris) Scott. She was married to Edward Torrence Bird at Reynoldsville Dec.

20, 1898. Five children were born to the union; all are deceased. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Susquehanna a DAR, Clearfield County Historical Society and the Old Town Grandmothers Club. Surviving are five grandsons, one granddaughter, one great- grandson, one great granddaughter and two nephews.

A solemn Requiem Mass will be sung in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church tomorrow at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Arthur F. Wilkinson as celebrant.

Interment will be in Beulah Cemetery at Reynoldsville tomorrow at 4 p. m. Friends will be received in the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p. m.

BROOKS AKRON, Ohio Mrs. Helen L. Brooks, 78, of Akron, Ohio, widow of Curtis E. Brooks, died Monday at 9 a. m.

in Akron City Hospital. A daughter of the late James I. and Mary E. (Merrill) Adams, she was born July 13, 1886 at Clearfield, Pa. Surviving are a son, Curtis E.

Akron; a brother George A. Adams, Akron; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held today at 1 p. m. in the Billow Chapel.

Interment was in Glendale Cemetery. EZEKIEL B. KEPIIART WINBURNE Ezekiel Kephart, 76, of Winburne, died yesterday at 8:25 a. m. at his home here.

Formerly of Osceola Mills, he was born in Decatur Township Nov. 24, 1898, the son of Samuel and Margaret (Graham) He was a salesman for the Raleigh Co. for approxi mately 15 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Gungo, and the following children: Mrs. William (Margaret) Kennedy, Middleport, N.Y.; Samuel, Niagara Falls, N.

Ezekiel Sanborn, N.Y.; Mrs. John (Jean) i Niagara Falls; Denver, Winburne; Mrs. Lester (Norma) Zimmerman, Osceola Mills R. Norman, Mansfield, N.J.; Mary Kay, Nancy and Marshal, all at home; step-children Mrs. Denver Marie) Kephart, Winburne; Thomas Plisco, U.S.

Air Force, stationed in Louisiana; Francine Plisco, Ontario, Canada; Patricia Ann Plisco, at home. One son, Oscar, preceded him in death in 1955. He is also survived by 45 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two Mina Stone and Mrs. Willard Albright, both of Osceola Mills R. D.

Mr. Kephart was a member of the New Castle EUB Church of Osceola Mills. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. in the Sanborn EUB Church with the Rev.

Bernard A. Flegal officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends will be received at the Heath Funeral Home at Osceola Mills tonight, tomorrow afternoon and evening and at the church from 11 a. m.
