Harry Robinson, 85, niece of Levi Alden, who founded the Gazette in 1845, died Tuesday morning in Virden, III. The former Alice Fenton, daughter of Philo and Rose Alden Fenton, was born in Racine and was graduated from Janesville High School in 1896. She was married to Harry Robinson in Janesville in 1903. Mr. Robinson, who operated a men's furnishing store in Janesville, died in 1920.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alice Zalc and Mrs. Ruth on them. A smoke ejector was used to clear the building. Fire Capt.

William Zimmerman said cause of the fire was not known immediately. Four crews, including the aeri al ladder, the plant. and one sister, Mrs. Roy Palmer, Janesville. Services will be In Virden Thursday, burial to be made in Oak Hill Cemetery, Janesville were dispatched cremation.

Two New Banks Get Charters MADISON (AP) New state banks in Oshkosh and Milwaukee were granted charters Tuesday by the State Banking Review Board. Receiving the charters were the Western State Banit of Oshkosh and the Guardian State Bank of Milwaukee. The Guardian bank will replace the Guardian Mutual Savings Bank. Lloyd Hannemann, executive vice president of Farmers' State Bank at Larsen in Winnebago County, will be president of the Western State Bank. High died early Wednesday morning in Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient the past two weeks. Until retiring five years ago he had been a James Manufactur ing Co.

employe 45 years. He was born in Rome, Dec. 17, 1888, the son of Charles and Rosa Roethel Miller, and married to Agnes Regling Sept. 28, 1910, in Rockford. ITiey resided in Fort Atkinson after their marriage, marking their golden anniversary in 1960.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Lynn, Fort Atkinson; four daughters, Mrs. Melvin Eickel, Jefferson, Mrs. John Justus, Evanston. 111., Mrs. Noreen Roberts, at home, and Mrs.

Joseph Seres, Lakewood, a brother. Warren, of Baraboo; a sister, Mrs. Lee Keeley, Pompano Beach, Fla. Two sons, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.

Saturday in the Royal F. Hayes Funeral Home, the Rev. Arthur Malin, Trinity theran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Ceme-i tery. Friends may call at the! funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m.

Friday. George Miller FOOTVILLE George Miller, lifelong Rock County resident and one of Footville's oldest residents, died Tuesday night in Stoughton Memorial Hospital after a short Illness. He was born in Center Township, April 12, 1887, the son of Frederick W. and Anna Miller. He married Edna Stapleton Dec.

2, 1897, in Center Township and they farmed on Miller Road until retiring in 1943 and moving to Footville. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 1963. Mrs. Miller died last Aug. 14.

He was a member of Footville Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, B. G. (Byron), of Janesville, Frederick and Howard, both of Footville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Four brothers and a sister also predeceased him.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Footville Methodist Church, the Rev. Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening at the Silverthom-Newcomer Funeral Home, Orfordville.

Geneva Woman Is Suicide LAKE GENEVA-The body of Mr.s. Ann Rossow, 6S, a widow, wa.s found hanging from a joist in the basement of her home at 1020 Pleasant St. Tuesday evening. Deputy Coroner Willard Simonson said the death was a suicide. Officials were told that Mrs.

Rossow, who lived alone, had been in poor health and despondent. Tlie body was found by her brother, Robert Voss, Lake Geneva, who became concerned when he was unable to enter the locked house. He broke a window to gain entry. Mrs. was last seen alive about 10 a.m.

TuesL 'ny by a neighbor. Assistant Police Chief Al Stephan was called to investigate at 6:50 p.m. Mrs. Rossow, the former Ann Voss, was born March 12, 1898, at Woodstock, 111., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Chris Voss. She was married to Walter Rossow, I Julv 29, 1935, in Chicago. He died Nov. 1, 1963. A resident of this area for the past 44 years, she was a mem-; her of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women's Society.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Jim Miller. Genoa City; Mrs. Minnie Weisner, Ohio; and Mrs. Harry Lake Geneva; and two brothers, I Paul Voss, Woodstock, 111., and Robert Voss, Lake Geneva.

Funeral services will be at 2. p.m. Friday at the Steinke Fu-! neral Home, the Rev. Earl Gue- qulerre officiating. Burial will be; in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends' may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Dozen Burglaries and Thefts in City Solved Janesville police detectives this morning reported nine additional larcenies and three burglaries have been cleared with five youths involved, three of them 18 years old and two of them 17. One of the juveniles in a statement said he and Richard Gilbert, 18, 421 N. Jackson were involved in a break-in last June at the Walter Hanson residence, 322 N.

Washington plus break-ins at Tropics Bar, 13 N. Main on Nov. 4 and one at Graham Feed Seed Store, 115 N. Main on Dec. 8.

The Hanson home was entered by climbing through an upstairs window. Taken were a tape rC' corder, records and other articles. Entry to the Tropics was made by forcing a rear door. Bills and change amounting to about $13.50 were taken there. Nothing was taken from Graham's after a rear window leading to the basement was forced open.

The juvenile also confessed that he stole a diamond ring two years ago from Dubes Jewelry Store, 19 W. Milwaukee which detectives said they have recovered. He also admitted taking two transistor radios from the Montgomery Ward Store here Dec. 8 and a transistor from Sears Roebuck Co. in late November.

Gilbert was arraigned in County Court Branch 2 Monday and detectives reported. Charles Mc- Garvle, 18, 473 N. Washington was fined in County Court Branch 2 Monday for two of those offenses. Those were tires owned by Ronald O'Meara, 409 N. Jackson and Joseph Rud- nltzskl, 1614 Barham both taken from the Arrow Park parking lot in October.

Also solved is a third tire theft, admitted by the juvenile. That belonged to Russell Chapln, 1410 E. Racine and was taken from his car at Arrow Park lot. James Keehn, 18, Rte. 1, Brodhead, who already has been charged with a host of city and entered a not guilty plea to the county burglaries, is involved theft of $8 last Saturday from with the juvenile In two other Church of the Nazarene, He and the 17-year-old are charged with that offense.

$50,000 Claimed Result of Crash at Orfordville Personal injury damages of $50,000 are asked in a Circuit Court traffic accident suit filed here Wednesday in behalf of Miss CHiikako Noguchi of Madison. The one-car accident in which she claims to have suffered injuries occurred on Aug. 7, 1962 on Highway 213 near Orfordville. Defendants are Miss Karen Mathis, Vermillion, S. driver of the car, and Raymond Kulzick, Madison, owner of the and his liability company.

It is alleged that the car went off a curve and overturned in a field. The driver is alleged to have been negligent as to speed, out and control, and Kulzick as to failure to keep brakes and' steering in good repair. i Miss Noguchi claims to have; suffered a fractured neck vertebrae, chest and right shoulder injuries and an injured right knee. 1 Neighbors' Cars Crash; One Killed PITTSBURGH (AP) Edward Flaherty, 40, was killed in a head-on auto crash Tuesday about four miles from his suburban Murrysville home. The driver of the other car, Ralph Thomas 48, was not seriously hurt.

McDonnell LAKE GENEVA-Mrs. Everett N. McDonnell, 74, 219 Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, and Williams Bay died Tuesday ing in Lakeland Hospital after a long illness. The former Esther Mae Ratlee was bom June 19, 1890, in St. Paul, and married Everett McDonnell Oct.

9, 1925, in Chicago. She was a member of the Lake Geneva Country Club. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Eileen Lore, Wallingford. and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the DerrickrHaase Funeral Home, the Rev. Henry Dreistadt officiating. Interment will be private and there will be no visitation.
