Front Clearfield, died today 'at 3:15 a.

m. in the Clearfield Hospital. Born in Italy Jan. 13, 1894, he was a son of Vito and Mary Esposito. He was owner of the Esposito Shoe Repair Shop at Clearfield.

He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, L.O.O.M. Lodge No. 97, and a U. S.

Army veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Josephine (Scalzo) Esposito; two daughters: Mrs. Anthony (Mary Jane) Ortasic and Anna Mae Esposito, both of Clearfield; two grandsons: Anthony II and John; three; sisters and one brother in Italy; and one brother, Ernest Rosselli, Clearfield. Requiem Mass will be sung Thursday at 9 a.

m. in St. Francis Catholic Church by the Rev. Martin N. Glynn.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call in the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home after 7 p. m. tomorrow and Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Military honors will be conducted at graveside by the American Legion firing squad. CHARLES L. THORP GRAMPIAN Charles L. Thorp, 86, of Grampian died yesterday in the Clearfield Hos. pitaU Born in Greenwood Township June 18, 1878, he was a son of the late Charles and Hannah (Johnson) Thorp.

He is survived by his wife, the former Julia Bell, and the following children: Mrs. Merla Wall and Mrs. Frances McDonald, both of Grampian; Mrs. Ruth Sigler, Georgetown, and Charles Niagara Fails, N. Y.

Also surviving are nina grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one brother, Kay Hoyt Thorp, Lancaster. One son, Ranee, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. in the Thomas G. McCracken Funeral Home at Mahaffey with the Rev.

Douglas Butler officiating. Burial will be in Bloomington Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p. m. tomorrow and until the hour of services Wednesday.

LEWIS LYONS MAHAFFEY Lewis Lyons, 84, a native of Bell Township died yesterday in the States Rest Home at Punxsutawney R. D. Born Nov. 11, 1880, he was the son of the late Jacob and Saloma (Ruppert) Lyons. He is survived by several nieces and nephews of the Punxsutawney i Mahaffey area.

He was the last member of his family. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. in the Thomas G. McCracken Funeral Home with the Rev.

Paul Miller officiating. Burial will be in Otterbein Cemetery at Mahaffey R. D. 1. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.

m. today and until the hour of services tomorrow. MRS. GEORGE VEROST HAWK RUN Mrs, Mary Verost, 74, died Saturday at 6 p. m.

at her home here. A daughter of Martin and Barbara Rusnak, she' was born at Snow Shoe Feb. 19, 1891. She married to George Verost at Hawk Run April 26, 1909 She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Roman Catholic Church here and a member of the Rosary Society.

She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Stephen (Agnes) Bartko and Mrs. John (Mary) Bartko, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; George, Philipsburg; Martin, Sanborn, N.Y.; Joseph and Lew, Tonawanda, N.Y. A son, Drew, preceded her in death. Sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters also survive: Michael, Paul and Lewis Rusnak, Mrs.

Barbara Vavreck, and Mrs. John (Susan) Zahuranek, all of Hawk Run. Friends will be received in her late home until 9 a. m. Wednesday when services will be held in SS.

Peter and Paul's Church with the Rev. Michael E. Tutokie officiating. Rosary will be recited tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30 o'clock. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

FREDERICK RANDLE PHILIPSBURG Gfaveside services were conducted Saturday afternoon in the Philipsburg Cemetery for Mrs. Sara Handle, 73, who died last Tuesday in the Ligonier Hospital. She had been a patient there for several weeks after fracturing her hip in a fall.

The daughter of William and Nancy Sleigh, she was born at Gearhkrtville, Philipsburg R.D Nov. 22, 1891. She resided for a number of years at Johnstown and for the past eight years at Ligonier. Her husband and a daughter, Mary, of Kansas City, survive. A son, Dick, preceded her in death.

She was the last member of her family. MRS. EUGENE ADAMS PHILIPSBURG Mrs. Susan Adams, 61, of North Philipsburg, died yesterday at 12:25 a. m.

in the Philipsburg State General Hospital. She was born June 25, 1903, at Philipsburg R. a daughter of the late Michael and Annie (Selebin) Starrie. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Philipsburg. Mrs.

Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Adams, in December 1962, and by three brothers. She is survived by one son, Donald Lee, and two sisters Mrs. John Bobby of Emeigh and Mrs. Andrew Kvetko of Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.

m. in the Clearfield Hospital. Born at West Decatur June 25, 1883, he was a son of Hiram and Helen (Wyland) Gardner. He was a- member of the Curwensville Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Ina Hayes, and the following children: Mrs.

Leonard (Edith) Carfley, Buffalo, N. Hiram, Boyd and Mrs. Zerby (Risty) Ames, all of Erie; Jerry Ripley, N. Mrs. William (Calista) Johnston, Curwensville; and Sterry, Baltimore, Md.

He also leaves 30 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ray (Josephine) Brown, Clearfield. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen Rex, his parents, three brothers, one sister and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m.

in the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home with the Rev. Leland W. Keemer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Alfretta Grudzinski, 50, formerly of Houtzdale, died at Warren Thursday at 6:20 p. m. after a long illness. She was born at Carnwath May 1, 1914, a daughter of Alfred and Christiana (Forsyth) Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Frank of Clearfield, and the following brother and sisters: Mrs.

Ann Winner, Williamsport; Albert Johnson, McCartney; Mrs. Walter Bloom, Houtzdale; Mrs. Fred Folmar, Drifting; Mrs. John Fuge, Blairsville; Mrs. Florence Barnett, Clearfield; Mrs.

Charles Dunovan, Detroit, and Mrs. Kenneth Klimek, Lewistown. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church here. Funeral services were held in the Raymond M.

Hayes Funeral Home here today at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Leroy Reitz officiating. Interment was in the St.
