Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Howe was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and was a retired bookkeepCLARA L. er Ricketts Wash- HOWE ing Machine Co. She was a member of Grant Park Christian Church and Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two brothers, Maurice Ricketts of Tacoma, and Charles "Chick" Ricketts of Omaha, and nieces and nephews including Mary Costanzo and Martin Frederickson, both of West Des Moines. Memorial contributions are suggested to her church. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday until service time Sunday at the funeral home. MARY VanGUNDY Services for Mary Lou VanGundy, 49, of Route 2, Prairie City, who died of cancer Thursday at Des Moines General Hospital, will be at 11:30 a.m.

today at Grandview Funeral Home. The body was donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. Miss VanGundy was born in Vandalia and was a secretary for Electronic Data Systems. Survivors include a son, James of Vandalia; her mother, Mary Ann VanGundy of Prairie City; and a brother Darrel VanGundy of Vandalia. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society-Iowa affiliate.

Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. today until service time at the funeral home. ROSA E. ESTES LACONA, IA. Services for Rosa Ellen Glasgow Estes, 79, of Lacona, who died of a lung ailment Tuesday at a Cedar Rapids hospital, will be at 1 p.m.

Monday at Mosher Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Motor Cemetery in Milo. Mrs. Estes was born in Sandyville and lived in Marion and Warren counties all of her life. Survivors include two sons, Leonard Jr.

of Lacona and James of Des Moines; five daughters, Alice Smith of Magna, Utah, Rose Carl of Des Moines, Maxine Smith of Jacksonville, N.C., Cecile Barnhouse of Arvada, and Wilma Hunter of Colorado Springs, 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday at the funeral home. MAE H. CONARD Mae H. Conard, 80, of Heber Springs, formerly of Adel, died of a heart ailment Wednesday in Searcy, Ark.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Chamberlain-Fisher Funeral Home in Adel, and burial will be in Waukee town cemetery. Born in Dallas County, Mrs. Conard lived in Adel most of her life and was a bookkeeper at her husband's automotive business. She was a member of Adel United Methodist Church and Adel American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Jim of Heber Springs and Ralph Jr. of Adel; a brother, Ward Hakes of Norwalk; two sisters, Myrtle Lowery and Alma Crawford, both of Heber Springs; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. WILLIAM H. RICHARDS William H. Richards, 97, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Iowa, died of a heart ailment Wednesday in Washington.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Richards was born in South Dakota and formerly was an Ames and Fairfield resident. He was a retired employee of the Interior Department.

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude White Richards; two daughters, Janet Stanton of Hyattsville, and Elizabeth Warner of Silver Spring, nine grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. Friends may call after noon Sunday at Dunn's Funeral Home. GLENN E. MILLER Glenn E. Miller, 76, of Lakewood, formerly of Des Moines, died of influenza March 3 at Charm Acres Nursing Home, where he lived the past 18 months.

The body was cremated, and there was no funeral service. Born in Des Moines, Mr. Miller was with the circulation department at the Des Moines Register and Tribune Company until 1947, when he moved to Colorado and joined the Rocky Mountain News. Survivors include two sons, Gary of Kremmling, and Larry of Wheat Ridge, and five grandchildren. HAROLD ARNOLD OTTUMWA, IA.

Graveside services for Harold "Pete" Arnold, 81, of Ottumwa, who died of cancer Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital here, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Chariton Cemetery. Mr. Arnold lived here for the last 30 years and retired in 1967 from his job in communications with the Burlington Northern Railroad.

Survivors include his wife, Clara. Friends may call until service time at the Fielding Funeral Home. FAY CHARLOTTE MARRS Services for Fay Charlotte Marrs, 46, of Collins, who died of cancer Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Collins United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mrs. Marrs was a secretary for Crouse Cartage Co. and a member of Collins United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jim; two sons, Allyn Roberts West Des Moines and Kevin Roberts of Collins; two daughters, Debra Roberts of Altoona and Renee Marrs of Collins; two brothers, Lindy Holmes of Rolla, and Harry Holmes Aurora, a sister, May Hansen of Clear Lake; her mother, Ester Holmes of Clear Lake; and two grandchildren. Friends may call this evening at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. JAMES ATOR Services for James T. Ator, 76, of 1504 Fifty-seventh who died of cancer Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Pollock Funeral Home in La Plata, Mo. Burial will be at La Plata Cemetery.

Mr. Ator was born in Griggsville, and lived in Des Moines for 40 years. He retired in 1971 from teaching industrial arts at Lincoln High School. Survivors include his wife Adah; a son, James D. of Fort Wayne, two sisters, Ruby Howk of Des Moines and Norine Swearingen of Denver, and two granddaughters.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may call until service time at the funeral home. Westover Funeral Home handled local arrangements. RAY RUSHING Services for Ray Rushing, 87, of Muscatine, formerly of Indianola, who died of a stroke Thursday at a Muscatine nursing home, will be at 10 a.m Monday at Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home in Muscatine.

A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at 100F Memorial Gardens in Indianola. Mr. Rushing was born in LeRoy and was the former owner and operator of Rushing Appliance store in Indianola. He was a Muscatine resident since 1977.

Survivors include two daughters, Pat Collins of Muscatine and Beth Polsen of Sycamore, five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions are suggested to Muscatine Humane Society. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. SHIRLEY JANSSEN AMES, IA.

Shirley Janssen, 58, of Ames died of a heart ailment Friday at her home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Adams Funeral Home here with burial in Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Janssen was born near Ames and lived in the area most of her life.

She was employed at the YWCA in Des Moines from 1960 until 1970. Survivors include a daughter, Sue Ness of rural Ames; two brothers, Harold Nagle and Paul Nagle, both of Ames; four sisters, Bea Taylor of rural Ames, Jean Dawson and Patricia Sansgaard, both of Ames, and Sandra Jensen of Lancaster, and two grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday at the funeral home. ZACHERY FUSCO Zachery L. Fusco, 2-day-old son of Christopher and Teresa Fusco of Indianola, died of a heart ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.

A graveside service was held Thursday at I00F Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Indianola. Survivors in addition to his parents include a twin sister, Rachael Renee, and sister America Anne, both of Indianola; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hildebrand of Des Moines and Mr. and Mrs.

Bart Fusco of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and great-grandmothers, Dorotha De Young of Des Moines and Ra-. faela Fusco of East Meadow, N.Y. FRANK C. STUTSMAN Frank C. Stutsman, 57, of Norwalk died of a brain tumor Friday at Veterans Administration Hospital in Knoxville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at. Gallaway-McLaren Funeral Home in Norwalk, and burial will be in Powers-Warren Cemetery near Runnells. Mr. Stutsman was born in Des Moines, FRANK C.

of Minneapolis, and three grandchildren. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. CHANTHIP SENEAPHAY Services for Chanthip Seneaphay, of 661 Nineteenth' who died Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Cen- ter, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton's Funeral Home.

The body will be cremated. An autopsy is being conducted. The child was born in Laos and lived in Des Moines the past year. Friends may call after 11 today at the funeral home. TRESSA TIARA Services for Tressa A. Tiara, 91, of Polk City Manor, who died of al heart attack Sunday at the manor, will be at 2 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be in Polk City Cemetery.

Mrs. Tiara was born in Polk City and lived in Des Moines from 1928 to 1980. She was a retired practical nurse. Survivors include two daughters, Arlene Everman of Longview, and Valere Miller of Dexter, seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter, Friends may call after 8 a.m. until the service today at the funeral home.

VERA CARTER The Register's lowa News Service COLFAX, IA. Services for Vera Carter, 77, of Colfax, who died Thursday at Des Moines General Hospital of a stroke, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma. Mrs. Carter operated the Carter Hotel in Montezuma from 1960 to 1974.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Beason of Colfax; a son, Gary of Victor; a sister, Maybel Carnac of Indiana; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. SARAH C. POPE Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Burlington Funeral Home in Burlington for Sarah Caroline Pope, 80, of Burlington, formerly of Des Moines, who died of cancer Wednesday at a Creston hospital. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery there.

Mrs. Pope formerly was active in work with the deaf in southeast Iowa. Survivors include two sons, Richard R. of Moline, and Charles E. Jr.
