Survivors include his wife, Jean; two sons, David of Des Moines and Robert of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Jean Dilger of Estes Park, and nine grandchildren. Surviving are four sons, Jerry and Mike, both of Knoxville, Ronald of Marshalltown and Steve of Burlington; a daughter, Dolores Burns of Iowa City; a brother, Delbert of Washington; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
