A. Benton of Sioux City, la. Howard Benshoof of Des Moines has been here this week for a vocational rehabilitation conference, sponsored by the federal office of rehabilitation. Mr. Benshoof is assistant director of rehabilitation in Iowa.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jungbluth and their two daughters, of Washington, stopped in the capital for a few days. They have been in the east to see the Jungbluth's son, who Is in camp near here. Mr.

Jungbluth went on to New York in mid-week and left his wife and daughters here for a longer stay. lumbia university in New York City. Lieut, and Mrs. W. M.

Goodyear are the parents of a daughter born Friday at Iowa Methodist hospital. Mrs. Goodyear is making her home with her sister, Mrs. T. R.

Osborne, 3413 Rutland and with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. M. Moore of Walnut, while Lieutenant Goodyear is serving overseas. Aviation Student Donald W.

Abbott, who has been stationed at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S. left there Thursday for Miami, where he will begin his air force training. He transferred from the infantry to the air force Jan. 27. Mrs.

Abbott will remain in Columbia for a few weeks. Mrs. Kenneth R. Bishard, 1510 Forty-first is a patient at Mercy hospital, where she is recovering from an operation. Mrs.

Louis Hunt, 1214 Park is home from the hospital, where she spent a few days after suffering a broken wrist in a fall at her home. Misses Janet and Jean Gore of Massena, are weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. John McKay, 1404 Twenty-third while in the city for the basketball tournament. Miss Mildred Metcalf, 1210 Pleasant Is spending the weekend at Waterloo, la.

James Flfleld, son of Dr. and Mrs. F. J. Fifield, 5505 Shriver has entered Midshipman's school at Co O'Brien, stationed at Camp Howze.

Mrs. E. W. Miller of St. Louis, formerly of Des Moines, is visiting in the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr.

Mantz, g.m., second class, U.S.N.R., and Mrs. Mantz are the parents of a son, Robert Theodore, born Mar. 4 at Quonset Point, R. I. Mrs.

Mantz Is the former June Tompkins of Des Moines. Theodore Mantz of Des Moines is the baby's grandfather. Mrs. Emil Folda of Clark-son, spent the weekend with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
