Halvereon, 69, of 3142 Scott Ave. died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical John W. Johnson, 78, of 533 Third West Des Moines, died Tuesday at Kavanagh House on kidney failure. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at West Des Moines United Methodist Church, and burial of the cre-mains will be at a later date.

Mr. Roberts was born in Winter Park, and also lived in New Orleans before moving to Des Moines in 1 994. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Brakefield of Warrior, two sisters, Faye Carol McCulough of Cherokee, N.C., and Gloria Bryan of Stark, and a brother, Andrew of Stark. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Dahlstrom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lester Milan Young, 89, of Knox ville died of cancer Saturday at home. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bybee and Davis Fu neral Home, with burial of the cre mains at Dallas Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Young was bom in Exira and lived in Kansas City before moving to Marion County in 1936.

He retired from farming and was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church. Among survivors are his wife, Geraldine; two daughters, Joyce Benham of Knoxville and Norma Holland of Magnolia, two grandchildren; and two great-grand children. The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorial con tributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa, his church or Hawk- eye Health Care.

Robert M. Gannon, 75, of 1408 S.W. Kenyon Ave. died Tuesday at Urbandale Health Care Center of complications following a stroke. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Saturday at Southtown Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetey. Mr. Garm6n, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a retired aircraft me chanic. He is survived by a son, Bud, and a daughter, Jan Cooper, both of Des Moines; a brother, Jerry of Marshall- town; and three grandchildren.

He had been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Fleet Reserve Association. Among survivors are his wife, Betty; a Bill of West Des Moines; three daughters, Rikki Brafford of Collins, Alicia Shutt of Diagonal and Mary Denise of West Des Moines; 20 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel, where there will be a vigil service at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Henry Andersen, 76, of Kellogg died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Reese Funeral Home, and burial will be at Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg. Mr. Andersen was born in Newton and lived in the Kellogg area most of his life.

He had farmed and retired as a stockman at Maytag. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Kellogg American Legion and Newton Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife, Cora; two sons, Duane of Tucson, and Mark of Kellogg; a daughter, Diane Giesman of Kellogg; a brother, Svend of Newton; two sisters, Nellie Ries of Kellogg and Oda Callison of Grinnell; nine grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where the family will meet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kellogg Fire Department or his church.

Edna M. Griffin Boehler, 91, of Carlisle died of pneumonia Wednesday at Carlisle Care Center. A prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Home. The body will be cremated.

Mrs. Boehler was born in Corning and moved to the care center in July from Miami. She had worked as a telephone company clerk. A sister, Alma Borrath of Carlisle, survives. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m.

Darrell Dean Jamison, 71, of Colo died of cancer Tuesday at Madrid Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, and burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery there. Mr.

Jamison was born in Esther-ville and lived in Colo most of his life. He was a retired farmer and also retired as a truck driver for Henson Trucking. Mr. Boyd was born in Russell and lived in West Des Moines six years, coming from Washington state. He retired as an accountant for Alaska Steamship Co. and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Humane Society of West Des Moines. A sister, Thesa Shady of Des Moines, survives.

Services will be at 11a.m. Saturday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, of which she was a member.

The body will be donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. Mrs. Gabus was born In Nebraska City, and moved to Urbandale in 1967. She lived at 3910 72nd St. and was a homemaker, past president of Aldersgate United Methodist Women and a member of PEO and Des Moines Women's Club.

Other survivors include two sons, Jan of Palo Alto, and Gene of Des Moines; a daughter, Patricia Peterson of Olathe, seven and a great-grandchild. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to her church library. Arrangements are being handled by Westover Fu-. neral Home.

Imogene Young, 68, of Fleur Heights Care Center, 491 1 S.W. 19th died of a heart attack Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at noon Friday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Cremation will follow, with burial at a later date. She was born in Oakland, W9i W'lS ret and moved to Des Moines in 1951 and to the care center nine months ago.

She worked part time for Wal-, Mart stores. yt Surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth Benjamin of Pleasant Hill and Verna Pianca of Hillsboro, and three brothers, V. Donald Uehling of Clarion, Dale Uehling of and Clark Uehling of Reno, Nev. Inman, 66, of Boone died of a respiratory ailment Tues-'day at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, services win tie at I ju p.m. Fridav at Schroeder Funeral Home in Boone, with burial at Linwood Park Cemetery. Mr. Inman was born in Waterloo and lived in Boone most of his life. He was a bricklayer and foreman and superintendent of construction for Lippert Brothers Construction, later Boone Construction where he worked 37 years.

He was a veter an of the Air Force and a member of the Bricklayers Union in Ames and Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion in Boone. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; a son, Thomas of Boone; a daughter, Cathy Hovick of Ankeny; two sis-: ters, Sandy Barry of Pittsburgh, and Donna Wisecup of Boone; and two grandchildren. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue after 8 a.m.

Friday at the funeral home. Rosemary Scallse, 61, of 2215 Wakonda View Drive died of a heart ailment Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. No services are planned. The body will be cremated. Mrs.

Scalise was born in Waukee and lived in Des Moines most of her life. She had worked in the admitting department at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. i Among survivors are her husband, Frank; two daughters, Jody Ransom of Tupelo, and LeAnn Gilbert of Des Moines; two sons, Michael of Westerly, R.I., and Anthony of Des Moines; a sister, Virginia Vargovich of Spokane, five brothers, Dave Miller of DeSoto, Art Miller of Ringsted, Gary Miller of Boone, Albert Miller of Silverton, and Sam Miller of Palm Springs, and five grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Southtown Funeral Home.

William C. Schwab, 90, of Pella died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Knoxville Area Community Hospital. Services will be at 1 1 a.m. Friday at Trinity Reformed Church in Pella, and burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, Pa. The Rev.

Schwab was born in Philadelphia and moved to Pella in 1985 from New York. He was a retired minister with the Reformed Church of America and was a member of Lions Club. Among survivors are a son, Guy of Pella; a daughter, Ellen Beth Schwab of East Greenbush, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. Friends may call after 1 1 a.m. today at Garden Chapel Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6.30 to 8 p.m.
