Choir of Methodist Church Presents 1 2th Annual Cantata Sunday The choir of the First Methodls! Church will present its twelfth annual cantata, "The Mystery of Easter," by Lee Rogers, under the direction of Mrs. T. H. Brandes, Miss Dorothy Brandes accompanist, Sunday evening at 8:00 o'clock at the First Methodist Church. The following numbers will be presented: 1.

"His Depth of and woman's chorus. 2. "He Loved Them to the End" solo, J. B. Wilder and choir.

3. "Hosanna! the choir. 4. "Gcthsemane" soprano solo, Miss Marguerite Brummett. 5.

secretary, gave an inspiring review of the activities of the Y. W. C. A. in thi.s district.

One of the outstanding accomplishments she mentioned was the organization of a Girl Reserves in Alvin. Hot cider and cookies were served the twelve members. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Collins, Mr.

and Mrs. Dean and Mr. and Mrs. D. A.

Barnes spent San Jacinto Day on a picnic at Lake Jackson. The Presbyterian Church choir, under the direction of Mrs. R. D. Loesby accompanied by Mrs.

Edward Redding, will present "Easter Morn," an Easter cantata, at 4:30 p. m. Sunday, April 25, at the Presbyterian Church. The music and text are based on familiar hymns and choruses, selected and arranged by Ellen Jane Lorenz. The program will include the following numbers 1.
