Summary--Scattered snow fell in the north and central portions of the Intermountain Region in the wake of a frontal system that passed through.

Precipitation amounts were generally less than two-tenths of an inch at reporting stations, but mountain areas received considerably more. Partial clearing showed up over western Nevada and southern Idaho late in the afternoon. Temperatures were generally on the chilly side, with most afternoon readings in the 20s and 30s throughout except the extreme S.L. Policeman Retires Feb. 15 Retirement of Sgt.

Russell C. Bendixen from the Salt Lake City Police Department, effeetive Feb. 15, has been approved by the City Commission. SGT. BENDIXEN served on the force 24 years.

Architect, 83, Dies After Short Illness Harry Pinnock Poll, 83, 1935 10th East, prominent Utah architect, died Thursday in a Salt Lake hospital, after a short illness.

Mr. Poll was one of the architects who worked on the restoration of the old State Capitol at Fillmore. He designed the "Rock Church," for the Mr. Poll Farming ton Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. INCLUDED IN the many buildings he designed was the old Federal Reserve Bank on East South Temple.

Mr. Poll was an active member in the LDS Church. He was a member of the High Priest Quorum in the Richards Second LDS Ward. HE WAS BORN Sept. 18, in Salt Lake City, a son of Frederick Robert and Rose Ann Pinnock Poll.

He married Nellie Oct. 26, 1910, in Salt Lake City. Their marriage later was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Aug. 15, 1952.

SURVIVING ARE his widow, two sons and one daughter, Harry Nicholson Poll, East Millcreek; John Nicholson, Hollywood, Mrs. Frank S. (Nellie) Naylor Salt Lake City; 17 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. FUNERAL services will be conducted Monday noon in the Sugar House LDS Ward Chapel, 1950-12th East. LeGrand Richards, member of the LDS Council of Twelve Apostles, will be the speaker.

Leonard Heaton, Moccasin, and Mrs. Walter A. Pace, St. George. She was born in Orderville, Kane County, Feb.

15, 1878, the daughter of Isaiah and Hannah Cook Hoyt. Member, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints. Served as Sunday School and MIA teacher; secretary, instructor and officer in the Relief Society; president of the Alton years, Ward and Relief first Society counselor for 10 as for eight years. She was on the Kanab Stake Relief Society board four years. She served as postmaster at Alton from 1908 to 1915, and was secretary of the Alton Water Users Assn.

for over 10 years. Graduated from BYU Academy In 1897. Married John Franklin Robertson Sept. 8, 1897, in the Manti Temple. He died in 1925.
