The Itinerant Salesmen' And 'Peddlers' Are Again Out On The Road Like the grizzly bear, the 'itinerant salesman' comes out of hibernation each year with the advent of warm weather. Like the bear, they are 'hungry' after a long time without food, and they are on the road now . . . /peddling' everything from house siding jobs and house and barn roofing jobs to farm fire alarm systems and cesspool dredging. In many cases, to "close a deal" these people offer "shiny premiums" . . . just for signing up. And in many cases, the contract you sign for work you expect done is 'loaded' with fine print, which again in many cases protects not you the buyer - but which contains an "out" for the vendor. / Such home improvement work as new siding on a house, or a re-roofing job, or chimney rebuilding, are too important for a hasty decision made as a result of high-pressure salesmanship. In this field, the local firms represented below are entirely capable of furnishing you with any of the materials or workmanship you can secure anyplace else. These firms are your friends people you know - and they are part and parcel of our community. So, if you find yourself in the act of making a 'hasty decision, take time to think it over. You can very likely "do better" right at home! THIS MESSAGE IS PUBLISHED IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST BY THE FOLLOWING; REA X 202 No. Lantry Algona, Iowa CONCRETE & LUMBER CO.
