DAILY CHRONICLE, Online at NIsite.com and Thursday, December 14, 2000 Daily Record VERLA L. SWINGLEY Verla L. Swingley, 73, of Sycamore, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. Born Oct.

8, 1927, in Ramsey, she was the daughter of Virgil and Ida Mae (Spires) Rhodes. She married Allan J. Swingley on Oct. 3, 1956, in DeKalb. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of DeKalb.

One of her favorite hobbies was reading.
