The bride is the daughter of Eva A. Berkes of DeKalb and the late Robert G. Berkes. The groom is the son of the late Howard and Gertrude Hanson of West Union, Iowa.

Janet Berkes of DeKalb, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Other attendants were Jane Lawson of Rockford and Julia Berkes of DeKalb, both sisters of the bride; and Emily Lawson of Rockford, niece of the bride. Breanna and Meghan Hanson of Rochester, nieces of the groom, were the flower girls. Karen Grush of DeKalb, a friend of the groom, was the best "man." Groomsmen were Roger Scott of DeKalb, Tim O'Shaughnessy of Sycamore, and Brad Burzynski of Sycamore, all friends of the groom. SOOTER-BOHN Sandra Colleen Sooter of Rockford and Cameron Albert Bohn of DeKalb are engaged to be married Sept.

20, 2001, at St. Louis Temple in St. Louis. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gary and Jean Sooter of Rockford and Laura Sooter and Don Berry of Belvidere. Her is the son of Perry and Kay Bohn of Lake St.

Louis, Mo. Sooter is a 1999 graduate of Belvidere High School and is a part-time student at Rock Valley College, majoring in performance theater. She is employed by Amcore Bank N.A. The reception was at River Heights Clubhouse, DeKalb. The wedding trip was a Caribbean cruise, followed by a meandering land cruise of Wisconsin. The bride is a graduate of Western Illinois University in political science.

She did graduate work in public administration. She is employed as director of the Information Management Office for DeKalb County Government. The groom is a graduate of lowa State University in accounting and economics. He is employed as Deputy County Administrator for DeKalb County Government. The couple's current hometown is DeKalb.

On Campus Matthew Baumgart of DeKalb was named to the University of Chicago Dean's List for the 2000-2001 academic year. Baumgart, recipient of the University of Chicago College Honors Scholarship, is a 1999 graduate of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora. He is working at Fermilab this summer and will begin his third year of study this fall as a physics major. He is the son of Joseph and Cynthia Baumgart. Tyrrell is a 1995 graduate of DeKalb High School. She is employed by Children's Learning Center and Northwest Podiatry Center. Alamia is a 1995 graduate of DeKalb High School and is employed by Northern Illinois University. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ron and Deb Sparkman of Orion and Dick and Liz Shurson of DeKalb. Her is the son of Mary and Gene Berg. Sparkman is a May 2001 graduate of Northern Illinois University, with a degree in health administration. She is employed by Unicare in Bolingbrook. Berg is a December 1999 graduate of NIU with a degree in engineering.
