"Obbie" Gellerstedt, 84, of 1611 of cancer REV. ROBERT COUCH Iowa City. brothers, George James of Norwalk. Twenty-seventh died Sunday at the Ramsey Memorial Home. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m.

at Dunn's Funeral Home, 5400 S. W. Ninth with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Mr. Gellerstedt was born in Moline, and had lived in Des Moines for 32 G.

years. He was a GELLERSTEDT partner in the Polk County Dairy Queen stores from 1946 to 1954. He was a charter member of Wakonda Christian Church. Survivors include his wive, Verna; a son, Perry of Moline; a daughter, Mrs. Beryl Smolenski of Boston, a stepdaughter, Dorothy McCoy of Des Moines; a sister, Hattie Guy of Moline; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

CLIFFORD J. SPAULDING Services for Clifford J. Spaulding, 86, of 6311 School will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn's Funeral Home, 2121 Grand with burial in Glendale Cemetery. Mr.

Spaulding died Saturday of heart failure at Des Moines General Hospital following a long illness. He was born in Cushing, and was a graduate of the Gem City Business College in Quincy, Ill. Mr. Spaulding lived in Des Moines 55 years, retiring in 1953 from his sheet metal business. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Spaulding is survived by his wife, Phyllis; a daughter, Elaine Wimp of Des Moines; a brother, Lowal E. Spaulding of Storm Lake; two grandsons and a great-grandson. HAZEL FORREST Hazel Forrest, 83, of 2609 Thirtyfifth died following a lengthy illness Saturday at Des Moines General Hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m.

Tuesday at the Westover Funeral Home with burial in 0.3 Pine Hill Cemetery. Born in Tacoma, Mrs. Forrest lived all her adult life in Des Moines. She was a homemaker and member of Hapac Grotto. Mrs.

Forrest is survived by her husband, Truman; four sons, Dale, Leroy, Lewis and Elmore, all of Des Moines; two daughters, Nancy J. Fagen and Helen M. Dix, both of Lakewood a sister, Mae Howard of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation at the funeral home will be after noon today. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital and Burn Center.

HELEN BANKS The Resister's lowa News Service DAVENPORT, IA. Services for Helen Banks, 70, of Davenport will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church here. She died Sunday at a local hospital. Helen Halliburton was born in Des Moine: She married Al Banks in Des Moines i in 1934.

Survivors include her husband, a son, a daughter and six grandchildren. W.D.M. woman wins silk panels HAZEL FORREST HAZEL FORREST Mrs. Robert T. Brown of West Des Moines won three embroidered silk panels in a drawing Sunday at the Midwest needlework show to raise money for the Des Moines Symphony.

The drawing closed a two-week exhibition of needlework at the Employers Mutual Building. The biennial show attracted 3,000 visitors. The last three shows have collected a total of $36,500 for the symphony. The silk panels awarded in the drawing were embroidered by some 40 Des Moines Symphony Guild members. Elinor Thomas of Orange City won the best of show award for a wall hanging depicting a farm family at work in a field of wheat.

The hanging also was chosen most popular in a balloting among visitors to the show. Basement fire here causes $800 damage A basement fire at 4824 S. Union St. caused about $800 damage Sunday, fire officials said. Officials said Larry Curtis, owner of the home, called the fire department when he found a basement couch and chair on fire.
