Among them were Chris Aase, miner and former captain of the early day river boat, S. Lavelle Young; Judge Edward F. Medley who first.

entered Alaska through Cordova 38 years ago; and John Sunilla, long time resident. william F. Finger was made a life member while a veteran membership was extended to Max Drews, pioneer resident of Eagle. Dr. Charles E.

Bunnell, president emeritus of the University of Alaska, was voted to receive an honorary life membership which will be conferred later. New auxiliary members are Mrs. Helen Bell, member of the pioneer Wilbur family; Mrs. Ethel Gordon. whose husband, Donald, was raised here and is associated with his parents in Gordon's store; and Mrs.

Betty Mulrooney whose James; is likewise closely identitied with early-day Fairbanks. Mrs. Glorine Stroecker, Carol Main and Mrs. Arline Fowler were also accepted into membership. Their husbands are Edward F.

Stroecker, vice president of the First National bank; Charles H. Main, pioneer merchant and Charles Fowler of the Fairbanks Exploration company. The auxiliary voted the sum of $50 to the lodge to assist in readying pioneer plots at Birch Hill and. Fairbanks cemeteries for Memorial Day. A white elephant sale held during the meeting was highly successful.

Igloo number four is now on sumner schedule of one meeting a month until October. Members will gather in Eagle hall the first Monday in ench month. Mrs. Alice Floto. a member of the Ladd AFB mixed chorus, entertained during the joint social hour with several vocal selections.

Piano accompaniments were played by Mrs. Rae Hoopes. 7 p. May 6. Rickmar is with the Cold Weather Materiei testing unit.

Ladd AFB. Mother's Day luncheon Saturday, May 12, starting at 11:30 a.m at the Preshyterian church. (Adv.) Mrs. Bodnar to Take Over Post With Club Tonight Mrs. Andrew Bodnar will be installed tonight as president of: the College Community Woman's club during a dinner meeting at the Pines Coffee succeeding Mrs.

Claude Swaim. The dinner at 8 o'clock; will also be attended by guests of members. Mrs. Bodner, served as first vice president last year, will be with Mrs. Hal Barnett, first vice president; Mrs: Jobn Gustafson, second vice- president; Mrs.

Fred Schikora, recording secretary; Mrs. William Everley, corresponding secretary and Mrs. James Kennedy, treasurer. They will be installed: by Mrs. Nick Eldem, past president of the Fairbanks Woman's club who was instrumental in organization of the College Community club.

Mrs: Eidem is a member of both groups. Besides Mrs: Swim, outgoing officers are Mrs. Fred Stubbings, and! Mrs. Sherman Carter Mrs. Kennedy will: begin: a second year.

Cecil McClain, manager of the Columbia Lumber company, was recently installed to serve 3 second governor.

The lodge's reactivation. was due largely to the Karl B. Stettier, representative. of the Supreme lodge, who was transferred to Fairbanks as a U. S.

Jo Moody, Calvin Grimes Are Wed at Ladd The Ladd air force base chapel Was the scene Sunday afternoon of a beautifully appointed early summer Wedding when Miss Betty Jo Moody became the bride of Calvin Eugene Grimes. The protestant ceremony was performed at 4. o'clock by Major Charles W.

Wakefield in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The former Miss Moody is the daughter of and Mrs. M. R. Robbins now of Ladd AFB, but formerly of Panama City, Fla.

The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Robert E. Grimes of Vienna, and is a member of the 449th fighter and all weather squadron at Ladd AFB. Forthe occasion; the chapel was decorated with spring flowers and lighted candle tapers with pew markers of yellow tulips tied with lacelon bows. Wedding music was furnished by Miss Marcella Fitzhugh, soloist and Robert Need, ganist.

The bride wore a white satin gown with full train, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, pointed bodice and full length, pointed sleeves. A fingertip veil was caught with orange blossoms and she carried bouquet of white carnations and yellow freesias. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. Attendants were Mrs. Mamie Midget, matron of honor, and Miss Carolyn Lazenby, brides maid.

The former wore a gown of yellow taffeta with a coronet of sweet peas and a bouquet of the same tied with purple ribbon streamers. Miss by was similarly gowned in light green taffeta accented with the same flower arrangement. Sgt. Finis Edward Jeffery was best man while Rene Arsenault and Sgt. George Bresock were ushers.

A reception at the Ladd NCO club followed where a wedding cake baked by Noble Largen was cut and served. and Mrs. Grimes will make their home in Fairbanks. Hospital Patients Among patients admitted to St. Joseph's hospital recently were Harry Druck of College, Sgt.

James Smith of "Big Delta; William Lee Price of Fairbanks Creek; Glenn Kivlehen of Tok Junction and Miss Cathy Jo Warinner of Suntrana. Others admitted include Herbert Fink, Mrs. J. B. Pike, Mrs.

Mrs. Jane Ryan Presents Recital Friday Night at 8 Mrs. Jane Oliver Ryan. teacher of piano, will. present 18 music pupils in a student's recital at 8 o'clock Friday night at the Earl Cook home, Betty Slaterville.
