Morning, April 2, 1920. THE PALM BEACH POST Page Five PALM BEACH PALM BEACH SOCIETY SOCIETY 1 4 Holy week has been observed in the! various churches in Palm Beach and West Palm Beach with appropriate! services and today, Good Friday, brings a real realization of the ity of Easter. This holiday, like Christmas, in Palm Beach, is a bit difficult for a northerner to grasp, as the one is associated with fir trees and snow and ice and the other with jonquils and narcissi and spring flowers! and a chillness in the air, even though the Easter sun may dance 011 morning and bring good omens for the coming year to him who shall arise! betimes and see it rise from the other side of the world. Easter will be appropriately brated here with the usual services and the little Church of Sea is still holding services in Palm Beach. Today is bank holiday, but most of the shops are keeping open and doing a surprising volume of preEaster trade, with special sales and bargains galore for the fin de saison.

Many of the Palm Beach colony are shopping to, good advantage in West Palm Beach and taking tage of the really attractive sales of wear. Queen's weather was in order terday and a brisk south wind tempered! the heat with its cooling breezes. Fools Day was a merry day and the kiddies of the Palm Beach colony celebrated by playing all sorts of pranks, just as their little French cousins ohserve the day by crying "Poisson d' Avril!" instead of our own "April Fool!" but they have nothing half so' smart as we kiddies to retaliate withsuch as "April Fool's gone past and you're the biggest fool a last The beach was superb yesterday morning and the breakers rolled in over the sand, while everyone got into his bathing togs and spent the morning on the beach, as well as a part of! the afternoon. The wind was not in the right quarter for much flying and the airmen had a holiday, but the fishermen on the pier some results and! the bathers all agreed that it was the most perfect day of all the season. It was a day for motoring and many parties motored to points of interest, including Port Sewall.

Jupiter. Hobe Sound. Miami. Fort Lauderdale and! Delray. Some of the fishing for black bass.

including Mr. Glidden and his father and a party of friends. The Breakers The Breakers colony was much relieved at the news of the rescue of Miss Blanche Frazier, known to many of the guests here. and of her return here tomorrow from Baltimore. No one knows just yet the cause the the sea.

E. W. Sohmer, of New York, and Mr. and Mrs. C.

W. Mack, of Newark, N. are at the Breakers. Superior Flying Invitation Lieut. Milburn Bishop, whose stunts in army combat flying have attracted so much attention in Palm Beach 011 the flying field of the Adams estate this season, will be here until the 5th, possibly longer, and has been carrying many passengers in his Bishop-Privette land plane.

Lieut. Bishop is the most expert flyer who has ever been seen in Palm Beach and has inspired the publie with great confidence in his performances, even though some of his loops and tail spins seem to be somewhat hazardous. He achieved great success in the United States air service in France, where he was known as "Smiling Bish," and intends to devote his life to the flying game and its perfection. Captain George Garrett Dunn, of the 333, who has been spending the winter in Palm Beach. was one of the very first to enter the United States air service during the war.

and during his service abroad trained many pilots both in France and Italy, and was at the head of a night bombing squadron in England. He pronounces Lieut. Bishop as the most experienced and expert aviator Palm Beach has ever known, and Capt. Dunn is qualified. through his wide experience and his! knowledge of the flying game in Palm Beach, to speak with authority.

Despite the superior claims of others who have striven to belittle Lieut. Bishop and his efforts here, the latter has emerged with flying colors. He and Captain Dunn were the only pilots! in Palm Beach this season who have seen active service abroad in the American Air Service, most of the other pilots of the Aero Limited, and the Traps-Oceanic Service having been naval aviators who have never seen service abroad, but who were for the greater part, stationed at Miami and Key West, therefore ignorant of actual combat flying. For this reason. their criticisms of Lieut.

Bishop and his maneuvres have been somewhat lacking ing the ethecs of the true soprtsmanwho always recognizes and praises ablity, even though it may be found in a business rival. Lieut. Bishop and Capt. Dunn have both played the air game conservatively. and have taken 110 spectacular flights nor long journeys, but throughout all their Palm Beach experience have striven to educate the public to safety in flying and Greenleaf Crosby Company GEM MERCHANTS Favorably Known to Florida Visitors for Fifty Years Palm Beach Shops in Breakers For Sale A fine home in Royal Park, just being completed, only 300 feet from the Ocean Boulevard, in the most select residential section.
