E. R. Jackson Says: Yes, It's Your Money! what do you get for it? The law requires that state turnback funds on sales tax and gas tax used for the maintenance and improvement of public streets. 'Auditors' reports reflect that EVERY CENT of turnback funds received by the City of Blytheville from these sources have been used in the maintenance and improvement of city streets. As The Law Requires! The contract by which the Jackson Administration acquired the Municipal Airport from the United States FORBIDS THE USE OF INCOME FROM THAT SOURCE for any purpose except maintenance and improvement of the airport, except with the consent and approval of the Civil Aeronautics Administration, after creation of a surplus satisfactory to that administration.

Airport Revenues during the Jackson Administration have been used and are being used IN CONFORMITY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THAT CONTRACT. These funds have been so judiciously used that, according to Federal Officials, Blytheville's is the ONLY municipal airport in its area of seven states WHICH IS NOT BEING OPERATED AT AN ACTUAL LOSS TO THE CITY OPERATING IT The Jackson Administration has used these funds for the purpose required by law and by the solemn contract of this city.
