Upper Pat MabH thuftday, 4, Understanding Teenagers Last Extension Subject "Understanding Teenagers" is the topic of the laM lesson to be held April 10, to 3:30 p.m. at the nigomi High School Auditorium. Anyone interested may attend and hear Mrs Inockmort. family Hie specialist at State College present a chalk talk and lead a discussion concerning the understanding of teenagers. Mrs Buena Mockmore holds the position of assistant professor and family life specialist on the Iowa Agricultural and Homt Economics Extension Service staff at Iowa State College.

She was appointed to that position in 1954. Widely Known Speaker During her slay at Iowa State College, she has become well- known as a speaker, especially to young people's groups. She is an artist at chalk-talk and at leading discussions which provoke enthusiastic response trom teenagers. She has also done considerable speaking to both men's and women's service groups, high school assemblies, 4-H clubs, parents' organizations and other groups. She specializes in parents education and in talking to teenagers about standing themselves and other phases of human relationships.

A native of Oregon, she received the bachelor of education degree in 1936 from the College of Puget Sound. She received the master of science degree in home economics from Oregon State College in 1939. Was Dean of Women Prior to joining the Iowa State College staff, she taught rural school, high school home econo mics, family relations at Oregon State Collage, and was state specialist in family relations from 1939 to 1941 in Oregon. She was dean of women with the rank of professor at Oregon State College from 1941 to 1948. During World War II she wab on leave for one year to occupy the top women's position with DuPont's atomic project at Hanford, Wash.

She is a member of the American Home Economics Association, American Association of University Women, Phi Kappa Phi, Eastern Star, PEO, Mortar Board and Delta Gamma. Homemakers leaders, church groups, 'or any interested' person may attend this special meeting, In the evening Mrs Mockmore will be meeting with 4-H Junior Leaders in the county where she hold a discussion with on "Understanding Ourselves." was proclaimed Emperor of Germany on Jan. 18, 1871 after receiving the surrender of Napoleon III at Sedan, at the conclusion of the Franco-Prussian war.
