Chapman entertained at a party on Saturday in honor of the birthday of her son Bruce who was eight on Sunday. Guests were David Gerber, Steve Waller, Roger Wildin, Terry McKean, Larry Renken. Larry Munger, Bill Will, Danny Danielson, Jim Schoby, Bryce Sampson, Mike Parsons, Robert Wesley and Terry Long. Word has been received here of the death of John McGowan an Algona resident of about 45 years ago. Mr McGowan lived On West State street at that time and will be remembered by many long-time residents. He had been living at Cedar Rapids at the time of his death. Mr and Mrs Kenneth Parrish became the parents of twin daughters born Tuesday evening at St. Ann hospital. They weighed over six pounds each. There are two other girls in the family and one boy. The new arrivals have been named Trudy Lee and Trecia Ann. —o— Xi Xi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will meet Friday evening at the home of Mrs David Smith.
