The guest register was presided over by Mrs. George Gragert. Out of town ange sherbet punch was with the cake. In the house party were Nancy Orr of Tyler and Genevieve Herman of Lissie. For travel on a honeymoon trip to New Orleans, the bride chose a two-piece biege and brown wool suit with matching accessories and the orchid from her bridal bouquet.

Frank Wells The home of Mrs. Frank Wells was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the tables set with plates filled with delicious food when members and guests of the John B. Hood Chapter UDC arrived for their Christmas program Thursday evening. Gifts were brought to be exchanged. Each one was given a number to find her place at a table.

A gift with a same number was in the chair at the tables. After opening gifts, and eating the meal, the program of the evening started by roll call being answered by eleven members recalling some special preparation for Christmas in days past. Mrs. G. L.

Duller recalled the cake baking that her mother did, and of the family spending Christmas at one of the grandparents. Mrs. J. F. Lang told of decorating the tree, and enjoying it.

The making of mince meat was remembered by Mi's. J. R. Nesbitt. The whole family joined in the preparation of it.

Miss Jimmie Rene Ogg said that it was not the usual thing for her daddy to help in the kitchen, but in the preparation of the fruit cake which required a lot of stirring her daddy helped to mix all the ingredients. The unusal thing was the children who stood and watched him. Mrs. E. E.

Rapsilver told of Christmas about 1916 when she and her mother helped with a program at the Star of Hope Mission in Houston, and helped to serve food to the men there. Mrs. G. Z. Sadler, Mrs.

Lee Gregory recalls memories of their mothers baking cakes and pies and getting every thing ready for Christmas Day. Mrs. A. L. Roberts, Mrs.

01- lie Brookshire, Mrs. Harris, and Mrs. Mary Stonecipher were guests and added their Christmas memories along with the members. A musical program with Mrs. Mary Stonecipher of Hempstead leading was engaged in.

She and Mrs. Harris took turns at a portable electric organ that Mrs. Stonecipher had brought for the occasion, and led the group in singing Christmas songs. Mrs. Stonecipher also shared some of her Christmases.

They were spent in various parts of our country from the South to the North. ton where she is a teacher at Shady Dell School and he is employed with Westinghouse Corporation. The bride was graduated from Lamar High School and Sam Houston State Teacher's College where she majored in art. This talent helped her win the title of Miss Rosenberg in a beauty contest several years ago. Mr.

Zunker was also graduated from Lamar and received his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Texas. Holiday Hair-do Preview Given FEW Club Members of the FEW Club had a preview of holiday hairdos at a party Thursday evening, December 5th, at the home of Mrs. Albert Black. Mrs. Sue Drackman, of Sue's Beauty Salon, told of latest trends in high style and casual hair styles illustrating her remarks with pictures and models.

Mrs. II. E. Hood, Mrs. Kenneth Tyler, and Mrs.

David Southard had their hair fixed for "after five" occasions, using the new upsweep and hair pieces. Patti Kirkpatrick's hair was clone for daytime activities. The Black home was decorated for the holiday season, featuring an aluminum Christmas tree with aqua balls and a color wheel. Red and white colors were used in the refreshments of punch, cookies, and decorated canapes. Mrs.

Effie Wiesner and Mrs. J. K. Feeny assisted Mrs. Black as hostesses.

Twenty-three members and five guests were present.
