Abraham Feder NEW YORK (AP) Abraham Feder, whose early fascination with light helped create the field of theatrical lighting design and the lighting director for hundreds of Broadway shows, died Thursday.

He was 87. For 50 years, the company "Lighting by Feder'' was famous for lighting architectural structures, plays, operas and ballets around the world. He was responsible for lighting on shows from "Camelot" to "My Fair Lady." and the 1938 Federal Theater production of "The Cradle Will Rock." Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce Efourn, III. FRANCIS HOWARD (FRANK) GALLAGHER Francis Howard (Frank) Gallagher was born to Bernard and Rosetta Gallagher in Brooklyn, New Jersey on July 31, 1907 and died in DeKalb, III. on April 23, 1997. Frank attended Catholic schools in New Jersey and New York, then attending Industrial School to become an electrician. He sailed on the American Export boats mainly to ports in the Mediterranean Seas, furthering his education by going to Cadet School and becoming an assistant Steam Boat Inspector. He was hired by the American Bureau of Shipping Insurance Company as an inspector in January 1941, working for the Bureau until his retirement in August 1972 after 30 years and six months service with the Bureau.

One of his first jobs for the Bureau was inspecting the diesel plan put on engines that later made D-Day winner. His ports of service with the Bureau included Chicago, New York, Portland, Honolulu and his final post in Seattle, where he retired as Principal Surveyor for the Seattle Office. After his retirement, he continued to work for Lloyds Registry because of his expertise in the engineering field. Frank was affiliated with the Seattle Propeller Club, the Washington Athletic Club and the Puget Sound Port of Engineers as well as being an active and devout member of the Catholic church. Frank married Gail Masters in 1942 and they raised two sons.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Rosetta Gallagher and his wife Gail in June 1986. He married Adra Baker of DeKab, III. In 1988. He is survived by his wife Adra in DeKab; his son Neil 'Rosalynn' Gallagher of P'uyallup, Washington, grandson Bradley of Puyallup, grandson David Craig of Eatonville, Washington, granddaughters Bobbi Virta of Bellingham, Washington and. Dawn Lawrence of Tacoma, Washington; his son Brian (Karen) Gallagher and two grandchildren Shawna and Gregory of Buckley, Washington and hisv brother John (Lucille) Gallagher of New Jersey.

Frank was a self-educated man, an avid reader and a very conversant man on all levels enjoying his hobbies of hunting, fly fishing and the church. The family requests memorials to the Gall Masters Gallagher Scholarship at Northern Illinois University, DeKab, the County Home in' DeKab or the Newman Center in DeKab, education and the church and Ann (Domzalski) Anderson. She married Perry Malay in Chicago on July 3, 1943. She had been employed as a cook at St Mary's Hospital in DeKab for 16 years, and later worked for the DeKab County Nursing Home, also as a cook for 18 years. She is survived by two sisters, Eleanor (Victor) DeBoar of Chicago, Hazel (Art) Linn of Las Vegas, two brothers Ronald (Pat) Anderson of LaGrange, III.

and Gerald (Kaye) Anderson of Naperville, III. and several nieces and nephews. She to preceded in death by her husband Perry In 1971, her daughter Carol Ann In 1979 her parents, and three brothers Daniel Harvey and Vernon. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 1997 at 1030 a.m. at tha Anderson Funeral Home with tha Rev.

She was bom on Feb. 20, 1925 in DeKab, the daughter of Robert Roy and Mary Elizabeth (Gohl) Johnson. Violet was a lifelong resident of DeKab, a 1943 graduate of DeKalb Township High School. She was employed at tha Nehring Electrical Works in DeKab for 11 years and worked at GTE in Genoa for 30 years until retiring in 1991. Survivors include one sister Dolores Sims, of DeKalb; three nephews Charles Sims of DeKab, William Johnson of Cortland, Edward Johnson of DeKab; two nieces Charlotte (Michael) Bauer of Waterman and, Diana Overbey of DeKab; nine great nieces and nephews and her cbsa friend Eva Pesuth of DeKab.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Charles Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 1997 at 2 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Homa in DeKab, with Rev. Ronald Miles officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1 p.m.

Ha was bom on May 4, 1939 at Demmitt, TX, tha son of Ladislav "Laddie" and Virginia "Ginger (Gomon) Kosobud Ha married Hwacha Cho on March 9, 1964 at Seoul, Korea. c-He was employed at General Electric in DeKab for six years in the accounting department as a systems analyst and computer programmer. Ha was a member of tha First Lutheran Church in DeKab. Ha was a veteran, serving in iU.S. Air Force Intelligence Service from 1 959 to 1 964.

While in tha Av Force, ha studied the Korean and Chinese Mandarin languages at Yale University. Jim was a graduate of Northern Illinois University. Ha was a volunteer Med-VAC driver for tha Voluntary Action Center from 1975 to 1981. Survivors Include his wife, Hwacha; his mother, Ginger Kosobud of Rochelle; two brothers, Kanneth (JoAnn) Kosobud of Charleston, S.C., and Richard (Connie) Kosobud of Sheridan; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; two brother-in-laws, Yong Cho of DeKab, and Kil Cho of Baldwin; two slster-in-laws, Sandy (Byong) Hong of Seoul, Korea, and Kyong Cha (Bum) Lee of Japan. He Was preceded in death by his father, Ladislav "Laddie" Kosobud, in 1976.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in DeKab, with Reverend Thomas F. Hanson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKab. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Malay, 71. of DeKab passed away Saturday, April 26, at KJshwaukee Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1925 In Chicago, the daughter of Turie F. By The Associated Press Nancy Claster BALTIMORE (AP) Nancy Claster, who played the teacher on the original children's television show "Romper Room" from 1953 until 1964, died Friday of cancer.

She was 82. Created by Caster's husband, Bert, "Romper Room" first aired on Baltimore station WBAL. It was so successful that the Clasters trained other hosts and locally produced shows aired in ISO cities. Claster would close each show by looking into her "magic mirror'' and saying the names of children she could see at home children arrested at 6:06 charged with DUI. The incident occurred at University Road, north of Elva.

Sheriff's police received a complaint about an intoxicated driver. Police later located the alleged suspect, Bowman, after he was involved in a crash. After an investigation, Bowman was arrested and taken to the DeKalb County Jail. Criminal Neglect of a disabled person Hinckley resident Bonnie Tellez, 43, was arrested, charged with criminal neglect of a handicapped person. The incident occurred in the 14000 block of Route 30.

The incident occurred on DeKalb Avenue at South Cross Street Police stopped Brown's vehicle after he allegedly disobeyed a traffic sign and made a wide turn. After an investigation. Brown was arrested and taken to the police department. He was later released on bond. County Saturday DUI DeKalb resident Christine Wilson, 29, 324 12 S.

Fifth was arrested at 5:05 charged with DUI. The incident occurred at McQueen Road south of Rich Road. No further details were released.
