TORTE CHOCOLAT 1 15-oz. can sweetened condensed milk 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate 1% teaspoons unflavored gelatine Vi cup cold water % cup crushed macaroons 1 teaspoon almond extract % cup cream, whipped 6 to 8 large lady fingers Melt chocolate in double boiler. Add sweetened condensed milk; heat and stir 5 minutes until mixture thickens. Soften gelatine in water; stir into chocolate mixture until dissolved. Remove from heat; cool. Stir in macaroons and almond extract. Fold in whipped cream. Line an 8" square pan with waxed paper. Split lady fingers in half. Place on bottom 'and sides of pan. Carefully spoon in chocolate mixture. Chill till firm (about 12 hours.) Invert on a plate and serve. STRAWBERRY RIBBON DESSERT (Makes 6 servings) 1 3'OZ. package strawberry-flavored gelatin dessert 2 cups hot water 1 cup cold water , Vi cup sliced strawberries 1 tablespoon (1 envelope) plain unflavored gelatin 1/4 cup cold water 1 tablespoon sugar I cup creamed cottage cheese Pour 1 cup hot water over gelatin dessert in mixing bowl, stirring until dissolved. Stir in 1 cup cold water. Chill until slightly thickened. Stir in strawberries. Pour Vt cup of mixture into bottom of mold. Chill in refrigerator until almost firm. Keep remaining strawberry gelatin mixture at room temperature. Soften I tablespoon plain gelatin in V« CUP cold water. Pour I cup hot water over softened gelatin, stirring until dissolved. Stir in sugar. Blend in cottage cheese. Pour carefully onto layer of strawberry gelatin in mold. Chill in refrigerator until almost firm.
