Flying Saucers: During the past month several people in the Empotia area have reported seeing unidentified flying objects. In two cases, unidentified objects gave off an orange light. Two Emporia police officers said the object they saw gave out a blue-green "exhaust." Up to today, no one has been able to photograph any of the U. F. here, although one Gazette photographer had a false alarm last week.

He was assigned to take a picture of workmen making re- pairs at the top of the Cablevision tower, When the photographer returned and processed his film, he found a formation of strange objects streaking across the sky. They appeared to be circular vehicles with broad vapor trails. After considerable investigation, however, it was learned that the "flying saucers" were only marks caused by sparks of static electricity inside the roll of film..
