Grand Opening, Appliance Firm A seven-day long Grand Opening event, featuring free prizes, special displays and demonstrations, with n man rook in action, will be held next week, beginning Monday, by North Iowa Appliance Center here. The new Algorm firm was established in December, when Al Richardson and John Levy purchased the appliance division of North Iowa Sewing Machine Co. A full page presentation in this issue of the UDM carries full details on the event. Rites Today Funeral services for Mrs Anna L. Fairbanks, 8fi, Inns-time resident of Algona, will be held this afternoon, Thursday, Feb. 14, in the First Presbyterian church at 4 p.m. with Rev. M. H. Brower officiating. McCullough's Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Burt. Mrs Fairbanks died Tuesday morning at St. Ann hospital following a 10-month illness. Anna Lourie, daughter of Alexander Lourie and Catherine Robertson, was bom Jan. 19, 1871, at Keokuk.
