Kansas exchanged marriage vows September 24 in the lovely home of the bride's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Jordan of Kaly. The candlelight rite was performed by Reverend Otto Busch. Mrs.

Lylo Jordan accompanied by Mrs. Milton Schmidt, was the soloist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length a-line gown of champagne lace, the empire waistline, slightly scooped neckline and puffed sleeves were trimmed with seed pearls. Literary Clab Has 41st Birthday The Katy Literary Club celebrated its 41st birthday with an Anniversary Luncheon at the home of Mrs. Arthur Robichaux with Mrs, Albert Thompson and Mrs. Halden Longenbaugh as assistant hostesses. Three lovely laid tables centered with arrangements of the club flower, pink roses, accommodated 26 members and 2 guests whose well filled plates were served buffet- style in the breakfast room. After the feasting the ladies assembled in the living room and listened to a most interesting and informative history of the club for the past year read by Mrs.

Chester Jordan, Mrs. Carey Pitts then led an informal discussion on amusing and embarrassing events were recalled that happened during the last forty years. Among those present were 4 charter members, one of whom was Mrs. C. W.

Theresa Jordan Performs In Houston Baptist College Play Theresa Jordan has continued her Interest in dramatic activity as a freshman at Houston Baptist College, Theresa played the role of Achillee in An Italian Straw Hat, directed by Dr, J. Talley. Members of the Katy High School Drama Club, The Red Masque Players, attended the play Tuesday night and visited backstage with Theresa after the performance. While a student at Katy High School, Theresa performed in numerous plays over a four-year period. Among her many honors were Best Actress at the State Meet" In 1969 and All-Star Cast member at the 1970 State one- act play contest.
