Compare results! You'll see the difference! It's sensational the way AJAX with unique "foaming action" leaves surfaces far brighter with up to 50 less effort! Yes, AJAX cleans up to 50 faster with half the effort, even in hardest water! Method: 1. Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until tender. Drain. 2. Melt the fat in the top of a double boiler.

Stir in the flour and blend well. Gradually stir in the milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and slightly thickened. S. Gradually beat In the egg, then add cheese.

When cheese 13 melted, stir in cooked macaroni, salt, pepper, crumbs, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat and chill thoroughly. Form into six croquettes with a spoon, 4. Mix the egg (under dipping) with the milk, until the white is just mixed in. Dip each croquette in this and then in crumbs.

5. Have fat melted in the skillet hot, but not smoking hot. Brown croquettes on one side, then turn and brown on the other. 6. Serve on a hot platter, topped with Spanish Creole sauce.

Spanish Creole Sauce. 4 tablespoons butter or margarine 2 medium-sized onions, diced 1 green pepper, chopped 2 cups canned tomatoes 14 teaspoon salt yt teaspoon paprika dash of garlic salt. Method: Melt the fat and saute the onions until a golden brown. Add the rest of the ingredients. Sim mer for 20 minutes.

Add extra seasonings, If necessary, look back and reminisce in terms of friends good times, school events, even cramming for exams not in terms of experience gained. Believe me, my children ar going to get full chance at the friends, popularity and fun I missed. And I know you can't have these things and work while going to school. In your opinion, which is more important during high school years: Football games, class and club meetings, even just gabfests with the kids after school? Or getting a lob, earning a few dol lars and learning responsibility, at the expense of missing those other things? A. R.

DEAR In my opinion, it is nonsensical to think the teens are but definitely the best years of life. The years up to 20 are decisive years, yes, in the sense that the cast of character and mold of destiny are being formed. But the years from 30 to 60 are potentially the great years of life, to which youth is the prelude and age the summation. As to which is more important in high school days, a merry-go-round1 of activity with the gang or putting one's nose to the grindstone of wage-earning to get job experienceI tend to back away from that narrow choice. I wouldn't vote decisively for either proposition, as a generality.

However, speaking of Ellen, the 1 chances are that in making her presence felt and her influence popular in various extra-curricular campus activities, she is learning to use her head and acquiring savvy in working with others invaluable laboratory training In leadership that should be more profitable to her in later years than present catch- as-catch-can job experience would be. Thus if Ellen's family isn't in want of financial help, my advice to the mother is to forego the idea of assigning Ellen to dollar-grubbing while in school, and encourage her rather to find congenial employment during summer holidays or take up special studies in line with her vocational preference. M. H. Mary Haworth counsels only through her column, not by mail or personal interview.

To Society (That Body of Yours.) By James W. Barton, M. D. A YOUNGSTER who was doing poorly at school was found by the school physician to be short-sighted and slightly deaf. The eyes were fitted with glasses, and blowing open the eustachian tube a few times corrected his hearing.

The parents, who had come to the conclusion that their child was "slow" mentally, were naturally greatly pleased. Sometimes a low or slow infection, thin blood, lack of sleep, poor appetite can so affect the general health that the youngster is inattentive at school and brings home poor reports. However, if after careful physical and mental examination, parents find that their child is slightly below normal mentally they' should not be discouraged Not only have many such children nice dispositions, but much can be done for them mentally so that they can take a place in the community and earn a fair living First, the child should receive an intelligenoe test or tests which can be obtained free or at little cost from schools, welfare agen cies, departments of health and mental hygiene clinics. 5. suit of these tests which are c6n-fidential, enables the parent to decide just what to do with the child. If he is "almost" normal, he can continue at school, but be a little behind those of his age and is given more manual than mental training. If he is just middle grade mentally, he can perhaps go through the third grade in school. If the child is low grade, he should not be sent to school as this will discourage him and perhaps spoil a naturally sunny disposition.
