The traditional wedding marches were played by Mrs Loren Brown and marital music was sung: by Shirley Peter of Burt, "Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer." ' The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of pure silk taffeta trimmed with imported Chafttfliy laoe, the molded btdJce styled with a scalloped bateau neckline outlined hi lace emtoroidsred with pearls and irredescent sequins, buttoned down the Sack with miniature buttons, the long sleeves • tapering to a deeg bridal point over the wrists. The fufl circular waltz length skirt was fashioned with appliqued lace medallions, her veil of irrn ported Silk illusion fell from a double crown of irredescent sequins. The couple was attended "*by Mrs Dale Ooetsch of ties Moines, sister of the bride, and Don Schafer of West Bend, uncle of the groom. Connie Warthbief, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Ring- bearer was Brian Morey erf West Bend, cousin of the groom. A reception followed the ceremony at which the hostess was Mrs Ernest Thiel. Punch Wat, served by Shirley Schafer and Marilyn Zentner. Waitresses were Janice Meyer and Uarlene Ramus. Arlene Warmtrfer, sister o1 the bride, poured and the three tiered cake trimmed in blue -jnd white decorations was cut by Wilma Morey and LaVofme Lindhorst. Dana Warmbter had charge of the guest book and the gift book was in charge of Kay Schafer and Bency Zmnel. Mr and MrS Schafer went to Clay Center, Kan., on a wedding trip. Mrs Schafer was graduated from the Algona High school in 1956. Mr Schafer was graduated from the West Bend High school in 1953. He has served with the army two years and was stationed in Alaska. At present Mr Schafer is employed by John Hopkins, but after February 1 he will be -with the A.S.C. Mrs Schafer has for some time been employed at the A.S.C. Bridge and 500 were played with Mrs Phil Diamond winning high in bridge, Mrs Jim Gefelan, high in 500, and Mrs Robert Wallace, door prize. Hostesses were Mrs Henry Last, Mrs Joseph Rboney and Mrs D. J. Shey. Sororily Dance Zeta Zi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority sponsored a fundraising dance Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Moose Hall. The dance was enjoyed by metnfeers and friends of all chapters in Algon** The next business meeting will fee held Feb. 5 at thf Harlif; Waller home. Mrs Vaughn Rising sang, accompanied by Mrs Leota Geigel. Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held in the Methodist church parlors. Mrs Marvin Johnson was in charge of the guest book, and Mrs Joanne Rochleau and Nor- rine Kollasch of Algona and Mrs LeRoy Roberts of Rockwell City were in charge of gifts. Mrs Robert Stevens of-Algona and Mrs Car] Johnson of Rockwell City poured. The couple will engage In farming after their honeymoon. Mr and Mi's Joe King entertained the members of their 500 club Sunday evening. Ronald Collins won high for the men, Clarence Metzger, low; Mrs Henry Dearchs won high and travel and Mrs Ronald Collins won low for the ladies.
