IT IS WITHIN OUR POWER TO STOP MURDER AND CRIPPLING ON OUR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY HIGHWAYS. IT IS WITHIN OUR POWER - YOU AND I - ALONE OR IN GROUPS TO ASK FOR AND SUBMIT TO AN ABSURD LOW SPEED LIMIT FOR ONE YEAR. IT WILL MAKE US THINK MORE ABOUT NOT KILLING OR CRIPPLING OURSELVES AS WE DRIVE. IT WILL MAKE US THINK AND ACT AND COOPERATE IN SAFE DRIVING. WE GIVE MONEY TO "DRIVES", WE GIVEfBLOOD AI0 WORK FOR OUft SICK OR INJURED NEIGHBORS. WHY NOT GIVE SOME SLOW - DOWN TO OUR THOUGHT AND ACTION WHEN WE DRIVE. AN ABSURD LOW LIMIT OF 50 MILES AN HOUR ON ALL PRIMARY, AND 35 MILES ON ALL SECONDARY ROADS TAKES SACRIFICE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND DESIRES AND DOLLARS WE EARN - MAYBE! BUT WE COULD DO IT FOR JUST ONE YEAR TO PROVE TO OURSELVES AND OUR BELOVED STATE OF IOWA THAT WE DO AFTER ALL LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR, AND HATE CRIPPLING, PAIN AND KILLING DONE BY CARS. WILL YOU - YOU - TALK ABOUT IT, WRITE YOUR LEGISLATORS ABOUT IT, AND SUBMIT TO IT, AND COOPERATE IN SUCH A PLAN TO STOP MURDER AND PAINFUL CRIPPLING CAR WRECKS, TO THE LIMIT OF OUR ABILITY?
