has beeft indeed a very enjoyabt. on. The weather for the moat part haa bean warm, pleasant with occasionally delightful balmy breezes from off of Lake Latela just back of our cottar. We have a nlc sandy beach which extend from our property to the lake. Skiing and motor races ait various time are held on the lake which haa an expanse of several miles square.

-i' The lake contain bass, perch, trout and catfish. -We have made several nice catches of fish during our vacation here, Avon Park la not only a tourist city but also a prosperous, business center, lit la in the heart of the citrus Industry of Florida in either direction of it. there are thousands of acres of citrus groves with many more thousands of growing; and fruit bearing trees upon them. A most gorgeous sight to behold-to see the orange and golden colored fruit hanging from the branches of the trees. Through the center of the city of Avon there as a wall a mile long, beautifully landscaped with semi-tropical flowers, plants and trees.

The Bok "Singing Tower" is only about 25 miles from Avon Park and we: have visited it a number of times and enjoyed listening to the enchanting, wonderful music of Its chimes. The people of Avon Pork are hospitable and a most cordial greeting is extended to all visiting tourists. They have a winter guest club here with a large, membership. Shuffleboard. tennis, card games, etc.

16 and 17 year grokip for the girls. Higgins. the city', number one ping pong player, is playing lh an older group because of placing in the Ail-American tourney at Chf cago last year. Miss George won In her ajre group last year at the. dint riot, bringine her the trophy in the 17-year clans.

Another winner Inst year was Hueh Newsom 4 who didn't enter this year. He also played at Chicago in the A1L-American. The games, starting at 1 o'clock, may be played in the Bloomington high school gym, with a possibility of some of the matches being televised. Finals will start at 7 o'clock and trophies will be awarded to the winners in each age group, both boys and girls. Last year 60 boys and girls took part, but over 100 are expected this time.

The meet in, sponsored by the Juke Box Canteen, with all trophies donated by the Southern Sporting Goods store at Bloomington. Winners will be eligible to play in the Chicago Ail-American May 6.
