High prize in "500" went to Bill McGuire, low to Mrs Marvin Reding, and door prize to Mrs Don Wood. Guests at the home of Mr and Mrs John Thill Dec. 16 were Mr and Mrs Louis Fuhrman of Algona, Mr and Mrs Tony Schmidt of Algona, Mr and Mrs Matt Faber of Bode, and Mr and Mrs Bob Mayer of Algona. Mr and Mrs George Roeder and John enjoyed Christmas dinner at the home of Mr and Mrs N. F. Weber at Wesley. Mr and Mrs, George Roeder had at a pre-Christmas dinner Mr and Mrs N. F. Weber, Mr and Mrs Harold Weber and Donnie and Mr and Mrs Calvin Meinecke and Stephen. Carl Brown, Jr. had surgery at St. Ann hospital on Dec. 22. On Dec. 23, a son weighing over 7 Ibs. gladdened the home of Mr and Mrs Gordon Hilbert. They have a daughter, too. Mr and Mrs Sanford Mitchell and daughter of Oklahoma came a few days before Christmas and will remain until after New Year's Day visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs Dan Froehlich of St. Benedict and his parents from Lone Rock. The Philip Arndorfer family had Christmas dinner at the M. H. McEnroe home. Others present were Mr and Mrs Leo McEnroe; their daughters June, Nancy and Rose and the latter's husband Leon Hugeback. The Nick Arndorfer family had their Christmas dinner at the home of Mr and Mrs Bob Simons. Mrs Bob Simons and Mrs Jake Simons were hostesses to the Simon's relationship, u yearlv Christmas gathering. The George Kunkel family spent their pre-Christmas day at George's mother's home, that of Mrs Caroline Kunkel. All pi her children and their families were able to be present except the James Kunkel family whose children had mumps and the Bernard Kunkel family whose children had measles. She is also a student at Ohio State University getting her Master's Degree in Chemistry.
