Woods; Nancv Ann, daughter of Mr and Mrs Merle Moore and Dale Francis, son of Mr and Mrs Gilbert Buscher. —o— Mr and Mrs Emil Lovstad be came the parents of a daughter born Thursdav. Dec. 27 at the Oesteopathic Clinic. She weighed over six nounds and has been named Marlene Frances. The Lovstads now have a family of four daughters and a son. —o— Mr and Mrs Richard Mather came from Green Bay, Wis., for q three day Christmas visit with their parents, Mr and Mrs Lyln Mathes and Dr. and Mrs C. Mrs Glenn Sirayer and son "Butch" went to Neosha, Mo. on Saturday, Dec. 22 to visit their -on and brother, Dick Strayer and family. On Sunday, Dec. '23. a daughter. Wilma Jean, weighing 7 pound and 6 oz. was born to Mr and Mrs Dick Straver. Mrr Strayer and Butch returned to Algona on Wednesday and on Friday the Dick Strayers, the new baby and their other two children. Patty and Rex, arrived for a vif.it until New Year's Day. Mr and Mrs Cecil Stewart and five children arrived Saturday from their home in Ha/el Crest. 111. for a several day's visit with Mrs Stewart's parents, Mr and Mrs Milo Rentz and with Mr Stewart's parents at Burt. Mr and Mrs Rentz returned Saturday from their Christmas visit with the Stewarts at Hazel Crest and with another daughter and family. Mi and Mrs James Ireland at Monee, 111. Mr and Mrs Truman Simpson were visited for several days during the Christmas holiday by Mrs Simpson's son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr and Mrs William Tormb- ly and sons, Doug and Mike of Des Moines. Pauline McMahpn went to Des Moines with her sister when they returned home and remained until Monday, Christmas dinner guests of thr Simpsons included Mr and Mrs Robert. Boleneus and son, Bobby of Wesley, Mrs Maude Erickson of Mason City and Mrs L. A. Bolenaus, Algona. INJURED IN ILLINOIS Sexton — A Sexton girl, Drusilla Opheim, who was returning to college in the east with a carload of other students, received injuries which sent her to the hospital at Quiney, 111. in an auto accident there New Year's day. Full details on the crash or the extent of her injuries are not known. Mary Griese Of Burt A Bride Friday, Bancroft • Burt — Friends attended a miscellaneous shower at the Martin Griese home Wednesday for the daughter Mary. Attending from away were Mrs Albert Bleich and LaVorme, Scarville, Mrs Dundas of Armstrong and LaVbnne Griese of Texas. Mary Grelse was married Friday at Bancroft to John Maack of Houston, Texas. Out Of Hospital Whlitemete — Andrew S. filbert was released from St. Ann hospital in Algona, Friday, following an auto accident at Holy Cross a suburb of Dubuque, on Dec. 20. Besides two broken fingers Mr Elbert suffered an internal injury which caused him to be hospitalized a week. He is well on the road to recovery and at present is at home recuperating __.
