Also evening guests were Mr and Mrs Monford Peterson of Swea City, Iowa. New Yeat's Hosts Mr and Mrs Robert Johnston entertained at a pre-New Year's family dinner Sunday, those in attendance being Mrs Emma Dehnert, Mrs Ed Pilcher and son Jerry, Mr and Mrs Howard Forsberg, Mr and Mrs Howard Hedrick, Mrs Kay Joyce Perdue and children Carol and Tommy. Mr Pilcher is employed by the Rath packing company of Waterloo and was on a business trip to the west coast. He had spent Christmas here With his family. At Silver Wedding Mrs Dena Boekelman and daughter Henrietta, Mr and Mrs Harry Boekelman and Mr and Mrs Albert Boekelman attended tjie Silver wedding anniversary celebration of Mr and Mrs Russell Winter at Lakota, Sunday. Mrs Winter is a daughter of Mrs Dena Boekelman. Mr and Mrs Albert Boekelman had Mrs Dena Boekelman and daughter Henrietta as dinner guests New Years clay. Family Dinner Hosts Mr and Mrs Orrie Peterson entertained at a family dinner ChnstmH.< Jay and had as guests Mr Ira Bonnette, Mr and Mrs Robert Bonnette, Mr and Mrs Dnraid Peterson, Mr and Mrs Harold Peterson and Mr and Mrs Elmer Bunkofske, of Burt, and " the respective families. Storm Lake Visitors Mrs Waller Bradley took her daughter Lucinda to Storm Lake Saturday for a visit until Tuesday with Mr and Mrs Pat Cullen and family. The Cullens recently moved there where Pat is in !he hardware business. Gardeh Club Elects Newly elected officers for the Algona'Garden Club for the coming year wiU be as follows: Mrs C. R. Adams and family spent New Years at Sibley with Mrs Adams' parents, Mr arid Mrs Walter Will. Henry Fursl is convalescing from surgery performed Friday at the clinic. His barber shop will be closed for ten days. Mr and Mrs Gaile Towne left New Year's day for Venice, Florida, where they plan on spending about two monlhs during the winter. Mrs Charley Kunt of Emmetsburg, Iowa spent last Thursday at the home of Mrs Kathryh Thilges. Mr and Mrs Leo Aulich and Pamela returned Saturday from Mora, Minn., where they had spent Christmas with Mrs Aulich's mother Mrs Edith Sund- Mr and Mrs R. H. Miller and Mrs Miller's mother, Mrs L. G. Thompson, of Estherville, left Thursday, Dec. 27, for Brownsville, Texas, \where they will spend several weeks. Mr and Mrs Russell Christensen are here from Perrin Base, Sherman, Texas and are visiting relatives and friends. Mrs Christensen is the former Ruth Adams. They will now be located at the 3ioux City base. Mr and Mrs Lyla Aneletton have returned from Baltimori, Md., where they spent Christmas with the former's brother- in-law and sister, Mr and Mrs M. B, Knoll. Mr ahd Mrs Games AckerrnWi aria daughters Judy and Arlys spent last weekend at Rochester, Minn., with Games' parents, Mr and Mrs Ennis Ackerman. Mr and Mrs Dwighl Sabin ahd the letter's mother Mrs Martha Adams came from Des Moines to spend Christmas with Mrs Sabin's parents Mr and Mrs Harry Sabin and Mrs Adams visited her son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs E. W. Adams. Mr and Mrs W. A. Dullon were dinner guests Christmas day of their niece and husband Mr and Mrs Otto Richter at Elmore, Minnesota, the Richters coming to get them that morning and bringing them home. Others in attendance were Mr Richter's brother- in-law and sister Mr and Mrs Orville Busch, of Elmore, Minn., and the Richters' family, Marvin, who is in service and stationed at Fort Benning, Ga., Mr and Mrs Donald Richler who live on the farm in a separate home, Lavonne and Jeanelte, daughters of the senior Richters. Marvin entered service last August and this was his first trip home.
