Guests' were Cynthia Burns, Jamie Christie, Mary De^ vine, Barbara Harris, Susan Johnson, Debbie Missal, LuRae Hunt and Emily ott. Games wereiplay- ed and refreshments served, In further celebration of Frances' birthday and in observance of that of her uncle Clarence Casey. LuVerne, a family dinner , was served Apr. 15, Daughtcr Confirmed Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith entertained at dinner Palm Sunday following confirmation in the Methodist church of their daughter, Carol Sue. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Swanson, Stanhope, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Swanson, Spirit Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Swanson, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Swanson, Mr. and Mrs. John Swanson, Renwick, and Daryl Bray ton, Emmetsburg, and the respective families. Daughter Confirmed Linda Hunt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hunt was confirmed in the Methodist church Palm Sunday. Following, a family dinner was held at which the grandparents were present, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hunt, Cedar Falls, and 'Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hilbert. ' Blue Shower Mrs. Gerald Erpelding was honored at a blue shower Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Harold Erpelding by: members of her card club, Mesdames Duane Riley, Roger Palmer, Dwight Cook, Harold Erpelding and Lamont Wellen- l dorf. 16 guests were present. Family Dinner . A family dinner was held Easter Sunday' 1 at Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fisher, Sr's. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fisher Jr., Grenada, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Vic Fisher, Corwith, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Fisher and Mr, and Mrs; W. D. Fisher. Newcomers Me.et Newcomers club met at the Algona Hotel Apr. 27 with 37 members and guests present. High in court whist was won by Connie Rasmusgon and Pat Watson and low by Deanha Cogdall. 'Door prize was woh by Mrs;.-Helen Saiter.y,' Farewell Party Mr. and Mrs. : Evert Richardson were given a farewell party Apr. 12 by members of the First Baptist church and were presented with a farewell gift. They are moving to Arlington, Calif, to make their home. Family Dinner A family dinner was held Apr. 15 celebrating the birthday of Mrs. Kate Wegener. The guests brought the .food and 29 persons were in attendance. The group included children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren of Mrs. Wegener. Rex Post, 8 Rex Post was eight years old Thursday and had as guests at a party Tom Burt, Scott Buchanan, Gene Chrischilles, Rickey Larson and Mike Moulton. Randy Smith was unable to be present because of measles and David Phillips was out of town. Easter Guests Mr. and Mrs. John Gisch entertained at dinner Easier and had as guests Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mescher, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mescher, Mr. aiS Mrs. Dean Kienitz, Mr. apd Mrs. Glenn McCleish, Bancroft, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mescher, Burt. Birthday Party Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ellefson went to Forest City Sunday and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Olson. The birthday of Mr. Olson was observed with a family dinner. Card Club Host Mrs. James Ernst entertained her card club Thursday evening. High score prizes were won by Mrs. Harvey Godden and Mrs. Don Meyer, Shower Hostesses Mrs. Joe Tschetter and Mrs. John Schutter gave a shower last Tuesday evening for Sara, little adopted daughter of Dr. and Mrs, L. L. Snyder. Play Pinochle Mr. and Mrs. Leander Seefeld entertained their Pinochle club one evening last week. ALGONA 4-H CLUB The Algona 4-H club met recently at the Linda Allen home. A talk was given by Rose Frideres, and demonstrations by Jacqueline Limbaugh, Susan Bullock, and Shirley Ringsdorf were guests.
