Leiwronc* Pergman Many friends and relatives went to St. Ann hospital, Algona, and Visited Mrs. Dora 'Johnson and helped her celebrate her birthday with a dessert luncheon.. Her daughter, Mrs. Don Arndorfer and sister, Mrs. Minnie ^Kylon, Swea City, were present. Mrs. Johnson has been a patient for two weeks. She had been employed there as an R.N.' before her Illness. Mrs. Irriia Garcia, San Diego, Cal., and Raile Bartlett, Cedar Fails, came to be with their mother, Mrs. Nellie Lupin, who suffered a heart attack and is a patient at St. Ann hospital, Algona. . Bess Connelly left for an extended visit with relatives in Mason City. OPERATION Mrs. George Kjome of Decorah recently underwent an ear operation that has opened a door to a new world for her. The operation performed was the removal of the small stapes bone that vibrates when the sound enters the ear and the replacing of that bone with a small spring. A minor skin graft from behind the ear was used to keep the spring in place. The size of the spring is about half the size of a thumb tack head.
