MURIEL RUSSELL. YOUNKER-FRIEDMAN. Mr. Albert Younker of 1118 Thirty -eighth street announces the engagement and approaching marriage of his sister, Miss Helen Younker, to Mr. Stanley Berkson Friedman, son of Mrs.

George Friedman. The wedding will take place June 17, Miss Younker is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Younker. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and at present is a member of the English department at the Iowa State college at Ames.

Mr. Friedman studied law at Washington university, St. Louis, and is now with the firm of Younker Brothers, WALKER---SMITH. Miss Walker and Mr. Dan F.

Smith were married last evening at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Ralph Wright, Rev. F. W. Mutchler performed the ceremony in the presence of the immediate relatives.

The bride was attired in jade taffeta and she carried 8 bouquet of sweet peas. After June 15 Mr. and Mrs. SMITH. Smith will be at home at 3115 South West Twelfth street place.

Durand will observe their golden wedding anniversary Saturday, June 7, celebrating the occasion quietly at their home owing to the ill health of Mrs. Durand. W. Moore of Albia, Ia. June 13, the birthday anniversary of Mr. Moore and the thirtieth wedding anniversary of the bride's parents has been chosen as the date of the wedding. The engagement was first announced last evening at the home of the bride to a group of former college friends.

Miss Parsons is a graduate of Drake university and a member of the honor fraternities, Phi Beta Kappa and Kappa Delta Pi. Since her graduation she has been a mathematics teacher in the Ogden High school. Mr.

Moore is a graduate of Des Moines university, Drake law school and Yale university, where he received his doctor's degree in law. He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta, national law fraternity, and of the Yale Book 'and Gavel fraternity. While at Drake he won the David I. McCahill scholarship at Yale. He is at present practicing law in Des Moines.
