Virginia Miller, Wesley, To Wed Bancroft Man Virginia Miller, above, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Miller of Wesley, will be married April 23 to Maurice Krebsbach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Krebsbach of Bancroft. The bride-to-be is manager of Fowler's Beauty shop. Her fiance works at the Algona Municipal Utilities. The wedding will be held at St. .Joseph Catholic church at •Wesley. (UDM engraving) BIRTHDAY Mrs. Mattie Larson, a long-time Humboldt county resident recently celebrated her 100th birthday. John Sampson, her son-in-law paid his mother-in-law a tribute when he recently remarked that during the 50 years Mrs. Larson had been his mother-in-law, she had never given him a cross or unkind word. Soybean Price Support Data Is Given The requirement regarding the maintenance of a farm's average acreage of conserving and idle land Mil continue, in effect under the 19(52 soybean price support program, fticha'rd L Anderson, Chairman, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation < County Committee, said today, •: • • . The national average support for 1962-crop soybeans has been announced at $2.25 per bu, Kossuth coimty pried support rate for 1961 was $2.25 and it is most likely that the support rate for our county for 1962 will be $2.20 per bushel. There will be more information on this later. This requirement was also in the 1961 soybean support program. It ,is designed to insure that any increases in soybean production will come from acreage used ,for crops that are in abundant supply rather than from land now, in conserving uses T. idle. To toe eligible for 1962 support, soybeans must be grown on a farm where the 1959-60 average acreage of conserving and idle land has been maintained. The soybeans must grade No. 4 or better and contain not more than 14 percent moisture, and, they must be in adequate storage. Loans and purchase agreements on soybeans will be available from harvesttime through Jan. 31, 1963. The maturity date for loans will be May 31, 1963. County support rates, with premiums and discounts for grade and quality differences, will be announced later. People who fly into a rage always make a bad landing.
