Drake Makes First Down. Drake did a surprising: thing after Taylor had dodged the kickoff back twenty yards. Woodrow plunged Into the line for two yards and Jefferson made It flrt down. Hasbrouk gained. Then Iowa held and Taylor punted forty-five yards to Tupper, who returned five.

Hasbrouk stopped McGowan for a loss. Drake was again swept back, but Taylor secured the ball. Hasbrouk gained his length, and then a yard more. Jefferson drained two and Hasbrouk went Into Rockwood for two more. Taylor punted to Tupper and Iowa marched again with gains of four to fifteen yards through D- ike's line.

Jeffers-on broke the monotony by going around and tackling Washburn for a loss, but McGowan was soon over. He failed his goal. Score. Iowa 28. Taylor again did the sensational and ran the kickoff from the goal line back twenty-five yards.

He was soon forced to punt, however. Woodrow broke through and stopped Streff for a loss and then blocked a punt, Iowa retaining the ball, however. Kent was forced to punt and Moore tackled Jefferson. Taylor punted to Tupper and the half ended with tho ball in Iowa possession on her own twenty-five yard line. Scorc-Iowa 28, Drake 0.

Kent Uses His Leg. The second half showed a great change; In the playing of Drake. The blue and white braced wonderfully and played aggressive football, but Iowa had by no means exhausted her resources and, after a few minutes of hard struggle Kent made a successful drop kick from the twenty yard line. In returning the next Kickoff, Jefferson dodged three tacklers and Taylor made ten yards on a quarterback run but fumbled as he was tackled. Iowa was held and Kent attempted to drop kick from the forty yard line. It failed and Drake took the aggressive. Jefferson went around the end for ten yards. McCoy took eight through the line: McCoy was called upon asrain but lost two yards; Jefferson gained six yards off left tackle.

Hasbrouk found a solid line and Iowa took tho ball on downs on the forty yard line. Drake regained tho ball on a fumble. Atkinson slomied a line plunge and Taylor punted to Tupper at the fifty yard line. Tupper run back twenty. Drake Gains Well.
