Mr. Watson Is the son of Mr.

Arthur T. and Mrs. Emma Turner Watson and grandson ot the late Dr. and Mrs. Mahlon P.

Turner. pioneer Des Moines residents. He is among the well known young singers ot the city who began the study of voice at the age ot 7 years with Fannie Wllkiua Ryan and L. Maude sElldredge. After serving sixteen months, tpn in France, during the world war, Mr.

Watson located for a time in Atlanta, where he resumed his voice study with Margaret Hecht, Austrian opera slnaer and later studied In Los Angeles, with Ragna Linne, a former Chicago teacher. Upon returning to Des Moines Mr. Watson took ud the study with Madame Tillisch and for the last eighteen months has studied consecutively with Mrs. Baal, professor of voice at Drake university. During the year he has been heard in concert recital work over the state, his instructor stating that he has unusual quality ami a remarkable finish for so young a singer.

Mr. Sheffield, who will contrlb- ute a group ot piano numbers, began his study at an early age with his sister, Frances Sheffield Wetter, and has pursued his recent work with Prof. F. E. Barrows of Simpson conservatory.

Mr. Lloyd Is graduate of Iowa State college at Ames where be was a member of Acacia fraternity. After spending three years with the A. F. in France, he entered the University ot Iowa, where he is now registered as a sophomore in the college of medicine.
