"Jack" Rief Gorter, William 0 William Gorter, age 82, of Sheboygan, went home to his Lord and Savior Friday morning, January 25, 2013 after a short stay at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice with his loving family at his side. Bill was born March 19, 1930 in Sheboygan to Wietze and Jennie (Van Der Veer) Gorter.

He attended Sheboygan Christian Grade School and Sheboygan North High School. He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard. Bill was a lifelong, faithful member of First Christian Reformed Church. On October 19, 1951 Bill and Joyce Ver Velde were united in marriage at First Christian Reformed Church. They were lifelong companions and best friends, always caring for one another and truly appreciating each other.

Bill began his employment as a tile and ter-razzo mechanic at Cima-rosti Terrazzo Tile Co. and continued his career at Castellan Tile and Terrazzo, retiring in 1992. Bill's interests included reading, listening to gospel and country music, enjoying nature, painting, watching TV, playing games with his grandchildren, and spending great times with his family and friends. He liked telling a good joke and had a great sense of humor. In addition to his devoted wife, Joyce, he is survived by his children, Timothy (Donna) Gorter and their children, Joshua and Angela; Tamara (Bruce) Ten Haken and their children Stephanie (Zach) Vis, Shaun Ten Haken, and Spencer Ten Haken; Todd (Kimberly) Gorter; one brother, Lawrence (Shirley) Gorter; one sister, Wilma Gorter; one sister-in-law, Carol Gorter; one John G.

"Jack" Rief, 81, of Kiel (Cedar Lake) died peacefully Thursday January 24, 2013 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center after a courageous battle with kidney disease. Jack was born on April 1, 1931 in Kellnersville, WI, son of the late Clarence Martha (Seidl) Rief. He was a member of the 1945 class at St. Andrews Catholic School and was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. Jack went on to graduate from Marquette School of Engineering in 1954.

On April 7, 1951 Jack was united in marriage to Marilyn Doubek at Holy Innocent Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on July 23, 1992. Jack was married to Sharon Donovan on July 17, 1999 at St. George's Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake. Jack worked as a civil engineer following college.

He was instrumental in designing and implementing the Ohio turnpike. He moved back to Wisconsin and was employed with Van Der Vaart of Sheboygan and served as the Executive Vice President of Wisconsin Concrete Products of Kiel for 50 years. He served two terms as the President of the WI Pipe Association and was recognized as an expert in his field. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill and was a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus in Sheboygan. Jack enjoyed golf and shared many great friendships with those he golfed with.

He was appointed Com-misioner of the Town of Schleswig Sanitary district ana for many years served as president. He was also a member of the Cedar Lake Improvement Association. He enjoyed his retirement years on Cedar Lake, especially taking pontoon rides and his winters in Sun Lakes, AZ. Jack enjoyed his time spent with family and friends and was loved by many. Survivors include his beloved wife, Sharon Don-ovan-Rief of Cedar Lake, his children; Bill (Sue) Rief, Door County, Jerilyn Krueger, Kiel, Sue (Mike) Norma E.

Nachreiner, age 99, of Random Lake, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. She was born on July 31, 1913 in Tripp County South Dakota, daughter of the late William A. and Le-tha (Wells) Suemnicht. In 1918 Norma's family moved to Wisconsin and she attended Ideal Grade School in the Town of Mitchell and graduated from Waldo High School.

On June 3, 1931 she married Laurin Falk at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1966. She later married Harold Nachreiner on July 14, 1973 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Cascade.

He preceded her in death on February 19, 2002. Norma was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Random Lake. She worked for Pick Canning Factory in Plymouth and Waldo, Regal Ware in Kewaskum, the Kohler Company, Suemnicht Cheese in Plain, WI, and Midway Restaurant in Random Lake. In her free time she enjoyed quilting, sewing, bowling, and reading.

She is survived by three children Iris Seefeldt of New Fane, Myra (Don) Dep-piesse of Random Lake, Bruce (Bev) Falk of Kewaskum, a son-in-law Al De-Marce of Cascade, a step son Gary (Jackie) Nachreiner of Spring Green, a step daughter Sandy (Tom) Ingram of Madison, 16 grandchildren Michael (Julie) Wendorf of Ottawa, IL, Carol Wilde of West Bend, Rev. Glenn (Cheryl) Seefeldt of St. Anthony, MN, Ryan (Rita) Seefeldt of Antigo, Steve (Donna) Seefeldt of Campbellsport, Patrice (friend DuWayne) Seefeldt of Campbellsport, Kim (Dan) Mondloch of Random Lake, Joe (Dyan) Deppiesse of Random Lake, Sue Endres of Cape Coral, FL, Becky (Keith) Fansher of Menomonee Falls, Brenda (friend Erica) Falk of Tomah, Donna (Roy) Fenske of Kohler, Nancy Schultz of Kohler, 3 step grandchildren Dar-rell and Scott Nachreiner and Matthew Ingram, 21 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, a brother Butch (Bernice) Suemnicht of Reedsburg, a sister Evelyn Weber of Plymouth, and sisters-in-law Doris Suemnicht, Beverly Suemnicht, and Marion Falk. Many loving nieces, nephews, relatives Wusterbarth, Chandler AZ, his grandchildren; Stephanie (Randy) San-dum, Theresa Rief, Jacqueline (Peter) Morrison, Jessica (Shane) Bryant, Casey Krueger, Emily Wusterbarth. great grandchildren; Nathanial, Noah, Alicia, Boston Dresden.

Jack is further survived by his step-son; Kevin (Kane) Bencz, Peoria IL, step grandchildren; Geneva Presley Bencz, his brother; Clark Rief, Des Moines IA, along with five sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law and their families. Jack was preceded in death by his first wife Marilyn, two daughters; Karen Theresa Rief, granddaughter; SSG Amy S. Krueger and a sister-in-law; Barbara Rief. Funeral Mass for Jack will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Wednesday January 23, 2013 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 212 Church St.

St. Nazianz, with Rev. Patrick Nelson SDS officiating. Friends and family may call at the church on Wednesday from until the time of services. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Sheboygan.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the SSG Amy S. Krueger Scholarship fund at Kiel High School and to St. Gregory's Grade School, St. Nazianz. Sheriff's Lt. Bill Tadych says Milam was found in 5 to 6 feet of water, "deep enough to kill a person." He'd been in the lake for 30 to 45 minutes. He had hypothermia and non-life-threatening injuries. Milam was too cold to communicate clearly, but authorities determined no one else was in the water. Tadych says local ice conditions are "marginal" at best.
